We truly enjoyed our brief stay at Lazo... quaint rooms, a rustic vibe and lovely food charged our batteries for a fantastic hike around the "lago". This is a working estancia with plenty of sheep (and hard charging shepherd dogs!) and with the towers as a backdrop, our stay could not have been better.

Perfect gateway hosteria to Paine Massif and the national park. A working ranch with horses to rent, a large pond that attracts all sorts of birds and wildlife and you can observe the working dogs doing their job herding and protecting the sheep. There is a large Pyrenees male dog that is incredibly protective of his flock and when you...

We had booked this place through a Chilean travel agent so weren't quite sure what to expect, especially when we nearly missed the small turnoff sign from the main hi-way. After a dusty twisty ride down a dirt road for 24 kms, we came to this place at the end of the line to spend 3 days. Needless to say...

Four of us just spent a wonderful 3 days at Torres del Paine. Fantastic scenery, great atmosphere, very quiet, hiking right from the property, on site horseback riding, good food and friendly staff. But it's one of those places where its good to have some information in advance. Mirador del Paine is on the summer location of a large family...

Being a spoiled traveller, I was worried about staying in a hostel, and in a shared dorm at that. I should not have worried. The Hostería was wonderful, integrated in the National Park and full of character, like a remote large log cabin. The dorms had huge windows, plenty of room to store cases and really solid bunks, where you...

It's been 4 months since my trip to Mirador Del Payne, but it's constantly been on my mind to write a review. We were so incredibly happy with our stay there and with the outstanding welcome and service. The rooms are simple but functional, and the main dining room was a great place to hang out as it always had...

As other have said, it has no WiFi and the electricity generator is switched off overnight (there is an emergency lamp in each room). But it is charming - a lovely location, run by lovely people. I can't say that the food was fantastic, but it was good, honest grub, enough to fill you when walking in the National Park,...

This hosteria is on a working estancia that is just outside the Torres del Paine National Park. It actually butts right up against the park. The folks running the ranch are very friendly. The room we stayed in was in the older building but was large and had a large clean bathroom. The wind blew at at gale force while...

This is a review for the hotel just outside the Torres Del Paine National Park (not Punta Arenas) The views were incredible. Perhaps one of the best views of The Cuernos we had. We did a great morning of horse riding and it was a great place to spend the night after exploring the park. You really do need a...

When we think back on our trip to the Argentinean and Chilean Patagonia, what pops up first is not the impressive Massifs at Torres del Paine or the Torres or Cerros at El Chalten, although those natural beauties are amazing, but this Estancia-Hosteria left the deepest impression and warmest memory. Our little family of 3 stayed there for 4 nights,...
