Undoubtedly the best view you can get of Lake Toya! The majestic and vast interior of the hotel somewhat reflect the emptiness of the hotel. It could due to a slightly off peak season. There was no sight of any guests except for a few at breakfast and at the onsen. There were very few staff around the hotel as...

I cannot complain about the location, with one side facing the sea and the other the Toya lake. We went there in winter, so the beauty of the view was speechless. For that I'd give it 5 stars. However, as most would know Japan is a land of high quality service and attention to detail - not this one. Front...

Great hotel on top of a mountain. One side overlooks Lake Toya and the other side the sea. Good selection of top class restaurants. The spa/onsen are excellent. Doorstep skiing is available. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Only criticism would be that it's difficult to get a light lunch. There's a great boulangerie but it sella out quickly.

G-8 meeting place. Quite impressive - a mixture of gigantic architecture, with small attention to details. The location itself is worth the visit - view of the Ocean OR Lake Toya - like Burgenstock in Switzerland. the hotel is impressive, not my style, but worth a visit. Modern approach to Japanese traditional hospitality. Highest service level from A to Z.

We went to the hotel in Jan 2017. It was certain a memorable experience. Not cheap by any means but the quality and class of the hotel shows the instant you step in. Its up a mountain side with its own shuttle from the station. Quality service throughout our stay. If you are prepared to spend a little more. This...

The architecture of this hotel gives you a stunning view of the lake and ocean. The restaurants were really good though the service was a bit slow. The open-air onsen during winter is a wonderful experience. And to know that the G8 summit was held here made me relive a little part of history.

One of the finest hotels I have ever been. Situated on top of the hill, overseeing the Uchiura Bay on one side and Lake Toya on the other. A very impressive hotel, luxurious and peaceful especially in the winter time. Outstanding service, very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent restaurants with Japanese and western food. We are already looking forward to...
