A pity that we didn't get to stay in the hotel. It was a beautiful hotel with spacious Lobby atrium and mesmerising live music by a pianist and flutist pair. Hosted many world leaders for a summit. It's location at the top of the hill give a panoramic view of lake Toya and Mt Yotei.

This hotel is very well located and the views are simple splendid. At times, you feel like you are on a movie set of a Bond film especially when you arrive at the lobby for the first time. While the rooms are indeed dated and at times the vast amount of empty space can give the hotel a very sparse...

Absolutely world class views, totally beautiful. Staff and service are beyond a joke for a hotel of this price. Unhelpful staff. Ordered food at the bar and it literally took 2 hours for a plate of pasta.

The view of Lake Toya from the room was so misteriously beautiful. Great cakes in the lounge. Japanese food restaurant was good but not too impressive. (Not much character) Enjoyed horse-back riding in the forest very much. The onsen and the lake view alone justify the price.

How will I put it ? A masterpiece in design for full beautiful view where the hotel prominently sits. Can see that the architect has done his homework well. It's a million dollar view. However, the room specifically bathroom although again designed to have view (either side of the hotel - even numbered room has better view) is pretty much...

Amazing views here but rooms were average and the hot spring really wasn't worth more than one visit. A short stay to ski would be nice but you'll definitely be bored with too many days. Overall I liked the property but nothing stood out to prompt the fifth star.

breakfast was in japanese style so you dont have any other choices, but that was tasty I could say, even I got the boiled egg in exchange of the raw one. view was great, i got a room facing the lake and was beautiful on sunrise.

I stayed 1 nite at this 5 star hotel famed for its views of the magnificent lake views. The hotel stands atop a mountain overlooking lake toya. It's a 15 min shuttle bus ride to the toya town. It was nice that the hotel provides free shuttle service to and fro the jr toya station and toya town at fixed...

Undoubtedly the best view you can get of Lake Toya! The majestic and vast interior of the hotel somewhat reflect the emptiness of the hotel. It could due to a slightly off peak season. There was no sight of any guests except for a few at breakfast and at the onsen. There were very few staff around the hotel as...

I cannot complain about the location, with one side facing the sea and the other the Toya lake. We went there in winter, so the beauty of the view was speechless. For that I'd give it 5 stars. However, as most would know Japan is a land of high quality service and attention to detail - not this one. Front...
