My husband and I stayed at La Merced del Alto for only one night and I can assure this was a most gratifying experience. The views from the surrounding mountains make you feel like as if you are in a different, very, very peaceful world. The restaurant also added to this highly positive visit.

This is a beautiful hotel a little bit outside of town. You fell like a pelgrim when you arrive. The hotel is build like an old convent. The rooms are very sober but also very luxurious. The bathroom is very nice and big. We ate dinner in the hotel and the food was not expensive and the taste was great....

Arrived at the hotel after a 7 hour, challenging drive from Cafayate in a two, not four wheel drive, so it was a relief to arrive at this white washed, pretty building which nestled in the stunning landscape. Was supposed to spend one night but thankfully the R40 was closed northwards so we stayed for two nights. Check-in was delightful...

This is a special property. Easy to relax, enjoy wine, sit by the pool. Food and staff were wonderful and very helpful. Also enjoyed the winery tour to learn about the area and what makes it so special. The owner is passionate about sharing his home and his wine.

It' s a shame that this beautiful hotel cannot shine as it should. Hopefully my comments will help the management to see the areas to improve. 1- inconsistencies in the evenings meals 2- half of the menus and wine list not available, hard to believe they did not have the local wines, I bought it myself the day after at...

Dear SanLorGlobe, Thank you very much for your review it makes us to work harder. The lack of products was my problem. I was travelling during those days (promoting the Hotel and Cachi in Europe) and the supply was not enough for the occupation that we had during your staying. I am very sorry for that inconvenience. For the other...

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here. It is a little ways out of town, which was exactly what we were looking for, a peaceful setting where we could just be with nature. Our room was spacious, the pool was refreshing and our morning breakfast was delicious. Their normal breakfast includes options that are gluten and dairy free. While...

We had a great visit in Cachi. The hotel is difficult to get to since we drove from Cafayate to Cachi on a dirt road for 120 miles and took us 6 hrs to complete. The premises are well appointed and very peaceful place to rest or go out and enjoy the outdoors. Breakfast was very simple with pastries, cereal,...

I must be the only person to be negative on the hotel. Firstly the view is fabulous and by far the reason you come, totally stunning. The hotel has an ancient charm about it and the rooms are old and not greatly maintained. However my sons room (we had three) smelled a little and were moved immediately. I found it...

Beautifully built in a very nice setting, La Merced is an oasis in Cachi. Big rooms, lovely restaurant and bar with nice fireplaces to keep you warm, is just one of those places that make you want to stay a little bit longer. Good service and nice food to top it off. The only downside is that it is a...

We spent just one night, but would have stayed longer. The room was spacious, as was the bath - with lots of hot water! We enjoyed playing cards in the large livingroom complex prior to a delicious dinner at the restaurant. The gift shop has quality merchandise (a welcome relief from the cheap touristy stuff that prevails in most shops...
