We were greeted by a friendly staff. The menu looked good but a bit pricey for a village pub. Some of the family had meat/fish which was ok but their chips were anaemic. The vegetarian meals sounded interesting but tasted unpleasant. I had high hopes for the dessert but only the sticky toffee and fig pudding was good. The ice...

First time visit to the newly re-opened pub. The wine and beer were good - it will be great when real ales are added. The food was very, very good - well cooked, well presented and tasty. The staff were friendly and helpful. Positive critique: Please put up a chalk board above the fireplace advertising your delicious food, especially specials...

Decided to try out a couple of days after official opening and was not disappointed. We came for Sunday lunch which was 2 courses for £17 or 3 for £20. Plenty of choice with 2 two different roasts and other options which was refreshing from other Sunday lunch menus. Waitress was attentive without being intrusive and food was seriously good.Everybody...

I kept driving past this place whilst working in the area and decided to call in one evening as the signs for food on the board outside said two course meals etc but no prices. Expecting usual pub fare I was very surprised to be given the sort of menu you would expect in a city restaurant where even the...

Had a flyer through the door inviting us to "Come and enjoy some samples of food and a complimentary glass of fizz" on their Open Day on 5th April. We were given half a glass of fizz, not a food sample in site, and we had to ask to see the menu, later finding out that there was a further...

As of October 2016 the White Horse is being renovated under new ownership. I wish the place well. The historic heart of Kenninghall deserves The White Horse to succeed. I am not a resident but pass by it twice a day.

Not a very friendly pub, used it as close to a campsite and we had a taste card that entitled 241 dining. Out of 6 of us only one was edible. Portions small and not freshly cooked, not much choice of beers or ciders. I wouldn't return to drink or eat. If I could find the Red Lion on Trip...

Cycling around the area, called in here early evening mid week. No sign of any other customers is usually a sign of a 'problem' !! I think there was three 'hand-pull' pumps on the bar, asked for a pint of 'whatever'; "it's not on" came the surly reply from the landlord(?). Tried again and asked for a pint of something...

The room was beautiful, really well presented and decorated. We weren't told when check out was so was surprised to have an angry knock at the door asking us to leave as soon as possible, then no time to shower. We requested breakfast but when we went down we were told the kitchen was closed despite paying for b&b, then...

“The Queen Elizabeth was our rooms name, it was very stylish. There is a window facing the main road but because it is in the middle of nowhere, we did not hear a thing. The room by itself is cold, but the owner added extra heater.”
