The staff are disgusting. The owners daughter decided to harass me. The cleaning woman was rude and offensive in her behaviour. They both decided to throw fleas on my tent repeatedly causing me hundreds of euros in damages. They also had my last review removed. Nasty people.
Great Location, easy access to all facilities. Great for visiting Granada, skiing or the sea, perfect location. Bungalows are small but have everything, air con, wifi etc. The restaurant is really good with very friendly staff and good value menu
My friend, my dog and I were camper van travelling around Europe and decided to stop at camping orgiva for a week. Everything was very straight forward, we got a lovely pitch under the olive trees and were in the best site we'd stayed at in our three months so far. The atmosphere was so lovely and communal, we met some amazing people there from all walks of life and the bar/restaurant was a nice place to go in the evening. I was trying to learn Spanish and every time I learnt a little bit more the bar man was so proud of me and congratulated me it encouraged me to learn more and more, such a positive experience. All the staff were amazing, I loved being told 'hola guapa' in the morning when I went to get coffee, and when I said ¡hasta luego! the last day we were there I really meant it! We ended up staying for three weeks and only left as we had to get back to the uk for work, otherwise we could have easily stayed for the winter. It's in a beautiful setting, orgiva is a lovely multicultural town, it's close to all the bigger places like Granada and motril for shopping and to be honest I still wish I was there right now!!!! We made so many great memories here and will see you again soon!!! ¡Hasta luego!!!!!…
The campsite is a small site very nicely set up on the edge of the Orgiva Town overlooking the wonderful Lecrin Valley. Set very high there are facilities for Camping and Caravans, Chalets and small Cabins. There is a swimming pool which is currently empty, which is not surprising at this time of year. However the most interesting thing is the Restaurant which was packed at Good Friday lunchtime with many guests both local and Tourists. Obviously popular and well laid out campsite. We shall return to stay. Please see photographs.
This is a small campsite at the entrance to Orgiva. Good wifi offered for free throughout. It offers several sites, some of which are suitable for a campervan, and others just for tents, in addition to bungalows and even one tree house. Pitches were not all level, offer electricity. We loved that this was one of the only campsites in Andalucia that offered BBQ sites as well as picnic tables. The staff are very helpful, have provisions and can give very good advice re hiking in the Alpujarras. The town is not in walking distance. Amenaties were okay, clean - would be so much better if they offered toilette paper as every other campsite does. We ended up staying for two nights.
Nice camping with lovely old olive trees. Bathroom is clean. It would be nice if they provide toilet paper. You can easily walk to the nice village. The restaurant has good and cheap food. A loth of locals come here too. It is a good starting point for hiking in the neighborhood. The wifi is bad, that is a pity.
During our campervan stay we had 3 nights with electric hook-up for €16 per night. We had thought that our ACSI camping card would give us a discount, but they were quick to point out that they are only registered with the separate ACSI motorhome card, which is different to the camping card. This was the only campsite open in Orgiva in December so there was not a lot of choice. The situation is good and we used it for some fantastic bike rides into the Sierra Nevada. Being December, the pool and leisure facilities were not operating and Wi-fi only worked close to the reception office. Facilities were clean and adequate, but as mentioned by a previous reviewer there was no loo roll. The centre of the main camping pitch area was dominated by a motorhome and family that appeared to be long term residents and had spread their washing lines, kiddies toys, dog kennel etc. around much of the surrounding area. This gave quite an untidy and unloved feel to the whole area. Friends of ours that had stayed the previous week had experienced exactly the same. I appreciate that we were very much "out of season" but as one of the major advertising slogans boasts that this site is open all year we felt that they really could make a bit more effort.…
The camp site is nice and staff friendly, and the location is beautiful. But... I get annoyed enough when there is no hand soap in campsite toilets but this is the first in Spain I've been to where loo roll is not provided. Over €15 for the two of us in a tent (without car) is enough to cover a few sheets of bog roll surely! Bring toilet roll if camping here, and hand soap too if you value hygiene.
Spend 8 relaxing days here renting a bungalow. Bungalow made rather special by the mini-jaccuzi in the bath. On the site was a restaurant serving a good selection of excellent cuising from Rabbit to Black pudding at good value prices and ending with Liquer on the house. Many nice walks within 1/2 hours drive as is the sea at Almunacar. Staff were generally helpful. Only downside was it was a little noisy around the pool at times and the pool opened late some days. Free WIFI worked, but only outside about 5-10 metres from bungalow
We've just had a week here in our motorhome - our 8th visit in 7 years. We love it! So tranquil, friendly and good value. Bar / restaurant excellent. Tapas to die for! ½hr walk into Orgiva... uphill but downhill coming back! Very Spanish rural town. Great for visiting white villages in the Poquiera valley ... good bus service from town. Also excellent bus service into Granada. Or you can just sit and look at the mountains!
