Very close to ferry and to some nice walks along Lake Manapoori otherwise isolated. A couple of restaurants in village with not so good expensive food and a gas station. The motel rooms felt damp and the site was full of biting flies. There is a camp site as part of the complex with a shared kitchen which we didn't...

Old, tired, small and no lake view. Very disappointing lodge though ideal location for Doubtful Sound trip. Limited parking, Mosquitos land. Limited parking. Small area.Manaoouri has one main restaurant which provides poor quality yet expensive meals.

Quaint little place right next to the lake great for wetting a line, beautiful views. Lovely bloke looks after the place, nice and quiet limited facilities all ok though walk up the hill to Main Street. Walk to Doubtful sound ferry.

Excellent campgrounds with clean facilities and very polite staff! With nice little areas to sit right on the lake with beautiful backdrop for an afternoon beverage! Has free wifi in the camplounge that when I went to use a large group of French friends made me feel uncomfortable so used our wifi in the juicy instead! All round excellent campground...

This place only accepts cash unless you want to pay extra charges to cards (the lady said). The lounge area was small but cosy, nice and warm with heaters. The kitchen was good, lots of pots and pans to use. Our cabin was small, the bed creaked a lot when you moved but there was a heater in there. However...

Possum Lodge was a lovely place to stay - set against bush and only a couple of minutes to the lake with the native birds sing all of the time. Our unit was clean, had a real cool 70's feel about it. Good base for trips to Milford and Te Anau. Would definitely stay again and I have told all...

We stayed here for 2 nights whilst we took trips to Doubtful Sound. Has a lot of character and accommodates tents, motorhomes, those who stay in cabins. On the lakefront with nice walks along the waterside. Easy walk to the departure point for Sound tours. Cost $35 a night for motorhome with power and 2 people. There is free wifi/internet...

Had a lovely stay here at Possum Lodge. We camped in a tent which I'm not sure this ground normally accommodate. We were given a small plot outside the men's shower block which was a bit awkward. The facilities were terrific. Bathrooms clean and the whole space quite quirky. We also enjoyed the experience of paying $10 for a key...

Lovely lakeside camping spot within 10 minutes walking distance to real journeys ferry for trips on the lake then onto doubtful sound. Clean facilities but small would suggest early arrival around 2-4pm as gets very busy and we saw some people turned away at around 5.30 so be aware. 1 minute and you can sit by the lake and watch...

We stayed in the motel, place was clean with full kitchen and bath, not bad for 2night stop over for our doubtful sound tour, only cons hot plate for cooking didn't work that well, wifi limited signal and hours and bath room door was too low hit my head a couple of times. Better than what I expected being out...
