Driving an EV in winter isn't always easy. Many places do not have places to plug in. The Canadiana is a rare treat. I booked around 2pm, informed the clerk I would need an external electrical socket and would arrive at 11pm. "No problem," he said. And indeed, there were no problems, only a warm, clean, quiet room, and convenient socket for my portable charger. The motel is dated, but well-maintained and terrific value. I would stay here again with pleasure.

We stopped here for a night on our motorcycle trip and the manager was very friendly and accommodating giving us a ground floor room so we could park the bike outside our room. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was comfortable. It's not the Holiday Inn but the dont charge their rates either. Reasonable price and probably better to call direct and get the best rate. Would stay there again.

Like some of the other reviews here, we found it last minute and had no where else to stay. Firstly, let start with the positives; Had running warm water, Cleanish towels, Microwave, Cable tv Negatives; The room smelt of sadness and depression, The bed sheets weren’t clean, Had to shower without touching the shower curtain as the mould had grown to a point where it should have a name and be entered into pre-school as it was alive My girlfriend woke with bites.... unfortunately not from me as being in that dirty room counteracted any amorous feelings that evening :( Look I’m all for promoting businesses and local ones at that, but this place just plane stinks and should be buried in the earth or burnt as a ritual sacrifice for he god of hotels... I’d have rather been beaten in the street than try to sleep there for the 5 hours.

We attended a wedding near Hanover this past summer. The motel we booked turned into a nightmare for us that continues to this day. First, the room was disgusting - smelly, dirty, flies, mystery moisture on the ceiling of washroom, lumpy mattress. The manager charged $97 for this mess and then had the audacity to double charge our credit card and refused to reverse it. We now have our credit card company trying to rectify this. Word of advice - AVOID, AVOID, AVOID. I offered to drive home or sleep in the car rather than sleep here, but my wife was too tired and there was no other accommodation nearby. Never again!
