I was given a great room despite being on my own and travelling for business. The room itself was beautiful but the on suite a little dated... but everything was spotlessly clean. The dinning room felt 'victorian' in style, but I say this as a good thing. It was quality food served in a charming dinning room. All staff were...

My partner and I had our wedding at Oakwood hall yesterday and couldn't have asked for more, the staff were exceptional and couldn't have done anymore, they decorated perfect and nothing was too much trouble. All rooms were stunning and clean, and the food was equally as perfect, my new wife and I can't put into words how fantastic this...

stayed 2 nights recently for a wedding, room was lovely, top of the original building, maintained the old style which is visible from the picture, lovely beams in room and windows! Room had been redone recently and was very large and comfortable to stay in, bathroom also large with separate bath and shower. Hot water and water pressure could have...

Recently stayed here for a wedding, while the staff made the day superb with their attention to detail, when we went up to the room we were sadly disappointed. It served a purpose and the en-suit was okay but the two mirror lights didn't work and the shower was only mildly warm on the hottest setting. The bed was rickety...

My partner and I stayed for 3 nights and will be returning next year. The staff were helpful and polite and the breakfast was very enjoyable. Nicely decorated and comfy bed. Very nice hotel. We were there for a music festival so never got to try the evening menu unfortunately.

As outside picture suggests very oldy world decor throughout, which I quite liked. Room was ok. Four poster bed was quite rickety and needed tightening up. Bathroom was quite big with a nice big shower. We booked dinner in restaurant and both ordered steak. Worst steak ever! Asked for medium, got some sort of boiled/stewed pale over cooked grizzled piece...

One night stop over, very nice staff welcome, the building decor, and grounds spotlessly clean, good size room with comfortable bed, restaurant waiter efficient and thoughtful, although we found the menu somewhat limited and the food rather bland, cooked breakfast far too greasy and several items overcooked, good hotel visit rather spoiled by untalented chef.

Lovely family-run hotel, with as much charm and character inside as outside. Friendly staff who gave great service. Comfortable and clean rooms with great views. Excellent food with tip top table service.

We have just had our daughters wedding reception at Oakwood hall and we cannot praise the staff and the venue highly enough. From when we arrived to canopies and presence after the church service we were met with professional staff who made everything special and efficient. The wedding breakfast was enjoyed by everybody and was served hot on hot plates...

My partner and I stayed here for one night. The room was dated and furniture distressed. We had a four poster bed, but the drapes were hanging off in places which made it look messy. The tea and coffee area was old, we couldn't find the kettle which was on the floor as it wouldn't reach the table. The bathroom...
