I have stayed at the Kite Manja campsite at the Hornbill festival more than once. They provide authentic camping experiences throughout Northeast India. One of their specialities is that they always promote locals food and beverages in the campsite which also provide travellers with an opportunity to learn and explore different food and cultural experiences. Their style is as real as it could get! I have trusted them for 7 yrs now and they haven´t let me down. Best campsite I know. Also their knowledge of the destinations, explorative options and folk culture is out of the world. I recomend everyone to stay with Kitemanja.
Food pathetic particularly for veg (bad quality as well as not warm) , no mattress pillow and sleeping bag (only blankets), no water bottle, no service in tents and even morning bed tea to be fetched from kitchen upstairs, Ladies toilet too far from tents and path leading to that is dangerously uneven and inadequtely lit, smoke around the camp as everything being cooked & heated on fire wood, loud music allowed to play even at and beyond midnight inconvenient to the rest, allowed to smoke and drink at common place and ladies/girls do not feel safe, hot water for bathing to be fetched in buckets by tourists even elderly, no basin and mirror to wash hands to brush and to shave, owner not open to suggestions. NOT VALUE FOR MONEY and not recommended at all
