Khonoma - A place beyond imagination and i am short of words to express. Nature is flowing like a soothing stream in Khonoma. We have a lifetime experience and memories of MOTHER NATURE - PURE AND DIVINE ...A trip to Nagaland is incomplete without visiting KHONOMA. Mr. Heikha the owner obliged us with all his experience to make our stay truly memorable and knowledge.Dovipi Inn is the only and best place to stay in Khonoma. He took us to Dzuleke Village drive not to be missed. A truly picturesque with sight seeing of wild life. He became our guide for the whole Khonoma trip without any charges. Thanks for his courtesy and hospitality. He took us early morning for Terrace Fields walk deep into the valley with NATURE all around. He explained all about modern and scientific methods of crop plantation and rotation. In case anybody interested, he can organise well planned trip with all accomodation , vehicle and sightseeings in Nagaland with him hassle free . Last but not the least village Walk in traditional Naga Tribal attire was amazing and gave us genuine Naga culture experience. Thanks to Mr.Heikha for our wonderful stay.....…
Never expected such a place in a remote place like Khonoma village in Nagaland. It's location is of course scenic, the inn looks very pretty. We did not stay there, but the place looked well kept. The staff seemed accommodative and hospitable. We had lunch there without prior booking yet they made us feel welcome. Lunch was a simple buffet with few items like chicken, daal, boiled leafy vegetables and papad. But it was delicious. However vegetarian people used to spicy food may find it a bit inconvenient.
This is a well maintained property, neat and clean. Though hot water is not on tap in the bathrooms, it is always available by the bucket if one requests for it. The rooms are large and airy, there is sufficient place in the lounge area and the food is good. The staff is super..always helpful and accomodating Bonus-bonfire in the evenings.....
I was a single traveler, but I stayed in a room with 4 beds all for myself. The room was bright and clean. The owner was very nice and took me for a walk around the village and explained me many aspects about Khonoma / Naga culture. I definitively would not have been able to learn about Khonoma and Angami culture without his help! The food was also quite good. A recommended place to stay in Khonoma!
Khonoma, about an hour away from Kohima calls itself Asia's first ever green village due to the various eco friendly measures in place. That apart it's a nice scenic place to spend a day or two. Given the remoteness of the place, our stay the Dovipie Inn was a pleasant surprise, very spacious, clean and comfy rooms. We loved our meals there too and would surely recommended this stay if anyone is visiting this place
It is the only hotel in Khonoma. There are a few homestays though. The village is in itself beautiful. The peace, silence and cleanliness is striking. Amenities at the hotel were adequate, and clean. Rest the staff is too humble and co-operative. The cook has golden hands!!! The hotel in itself is also very beautiful, with lots of woodwork. If one wishes to stay in Khonoma this would be a very convenient and comfortable option.
A lovely Inn set in the lovely, quaint setting of the little village kohoma approx 25km from Kohima. the place looks like new, nice rooms. we got there in winter and were the only guests. The staff was very very nice and helpful and met all our wishes. The best was the walk around the village in the morning with a guide who explained all the local traditions and practices. would surely like to visit here again but maybe not in winter when it is beautiful but very cold :)
Khonoma is a legendary village and has homestay accommodations. But Dovipie Inn is one of the best place if you are looking for something better than homestay with local experience. because the property is right in the middle of the village and you get to chance to meet and interact with the local people. If you love Naga food, yummy food is served here.
Doviepie Inn offers a very comfortable stay in a lovely serene location .Their main strength is their staff. Neizo, their manager, was very helpful in finding us drivers to pick us up and drop us He was sweet enough to give us a tour of the nearby village and we enjoyed talking to him. Albert provided us with lovely tea, food and hot water whenever we asked for. We were lucky to watch a cultural programme of the Nagas on Sunday. All the people we encountered made it a good stay for us. God Bless them.
Good place to stay. Very calm and quite. Rooms were clean. We had tea and coffee which they served was very good and served fast. Beautiful site. No comments about food because we had no opportunity due to time schedule.
