We loved the Kohima Camp. Yogi, the manager was always there to greet you as you arrived at the camp. He provided a comprehensive welcome to the camp, and was available at any time for questions or recommendations. Yogish was a our butler, who showed us to our tent and provided service during our stay. No detail is forgotten in these luxury tents. Hot water, hair dryer, stationery, sleep masks, along with fluffy towels and creamy lotions. There is a phone to us if you need anything once you are zipped into your tent. The sheets are lush and a hot water bottle is provided at night at your request. The on site restaurant served delicious meals and provided excellent service. An evening campfire allowed for guests to visit while enjoying hot cider and appetizers. Very well done, all the comforts of home and prime seats to the Opening Ceremony of the Hornbill Festival. This is a once in a lifetime even, with an unforgettable stay at TUTC’s Kohima Camp.…
Very courteous staff. Good location with ample parking spaces. If you are lucky to get room towards valley, you will get great view at night and in the morning. Rooms are not so spacious. The gymnasium exist for namesake. Breakfast spread is very poor so don't forget to carry your food to begin the day. General Manager is very well behaved and takes great care of guests. Hotel has over priced memento shop. Bakery items are good. Food is tasty but needs to add more to its menu.
We stayed here for three nights when we went to the annual Hornbill Festival. The tents are spacious and well appointed. However in December it is very cold at night so make sure you take warm clothing. We had heaters in our tent and a 'hot water bottle' placed in our bed every evening. The food is excellent and freshly prepared for each meal. All the staff were friendly and most helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them.
