We had really good time. The room was clean and big with comfortable bed. The view of the sea and the gardens was beautiful. We tried local dishes in the breakfast and dinner. The staff was friendly and helped us a lot carrying luggage and suggested nice things to do in Kalamata and Mani. I would go again!
This hotel has really friendly and helpful staff. Everyone was lovely! Our room was more than adequate, although the step down between the bathroom and bedroom could be an issue in the dark.. there was a nightlight though. We had a partial sea view which was nice and a view across the mountains. Breakfast was great with masses of choice. The pool was quite refreshing! It was a good size and we enjoyed lying beside it. There are a number of good restaurants within walking distance - turn left out of the hotel - ten minutes and there’s a number with sea front views. We didn’t swim in the sea from there but lots of people did. There’s a lovely bar with views over the beach.
This is a nice property. We had a nice, though not exceptionally spacious, room with a large balcony with great panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and the entire Messinian Gulf. Very satisfying breakfast was included in the room’s price. No complaints.
The Akti Taygetos is an excellent hotel in Kalamata, situation on the coast just outside the city on the road to Mani. There is a nice seaside bar with access to the sea (rocks not sand) which is turn is accessed via a tunnel under the road. The main complex is beautifully landscaped and maintained. There is a good sized pool with plenty of sun beds. The rooms are simple but nice. The staff are wonderful, helpful and attentive. We visited during the COVID crisis and were very impressed by the overall cleanliness and respect of health protocols. The buffet breakfast is excellent. Highly recommended!
The hotel was great!! It's position is ideal. Near the city of Kalamata, in a quiet place, with sea view. The facilities are very well maintained. The hotel follows all safety and health procedures and it is very clean! The pool is also great. A lifeguard is always on duty. The beach bar is fantastic with an iconic city view, especially in the night. The sea at the beach bar is for... people who dare to swim near the rocks!! The breakfast is really good, with a big variety of local and international tastes!! Last but not least, I would like to mention about the hotel staff!! From the front desk (Niki), to the personnel at the restaurant, the pool bar, the beach bar!! All of you were great!! Kind and willing to help!!! Thank you for making our vacation more comfortable and more interesting!! I would visit the hotel again for sure in the future!!!…
All in all the hotel is an amazing value for money... taking into account that you do need a car to go around and explore the area.. staff is polite and the balcony in the room was a nice plus. the bar on the beach is also nice... the entire vibe of the hotel is very pleasant and would go back there.
Overall a nice hotel. located outside the city of Kalamata (not walking distance). Nice swimming pool. Breakfast was not too bad. Good sleep quality and rooms were clean. Stuff polite and friendly. Nice for families with children. You need a car. TV was not working!!! In general it was nice but a bit old fashioned
Just stick to the standard room for bed and breakfast and its very good value. Pool lovely - private beach tiny but perfect - breakfast fine - room is ok but thats all - dont upgrade as not worth the money - all in all its fine
We are staying in one of the hotels many private bungalows which are surrounded by lovely maintained gardens and their own balconies. It appears the property has been renovated to a high standard. It has an inground pool with a spar, a pool bar and it's own beach access via a elevator with an underground tunnel. The beach access has another bar, balcony and lounging chairs with umbrellas. Note; you have to go down stairs to access the beach. A 24hr reception is available. Friendly staff who are happy to come recommendations of things to do Great value for money
We've spend a week during August as a family in this beautiful resort. When you arrive you get a first impression that facilities are not that impressive due to its positioning. It has a big parking although sometimes you can't find a place due to pool visitors. Stuff was polite and they even helped us carry our suitcases to the bungalow we would stay. We had a family room who accomodated 4 persons (enough room for everyone) the A/C was working perfectly and it was clean enough. We've choosed a half-board menu and it proved to be an excellenet choice. Breakfast was more than enough and dinner had more than 10 different option to choose (meat, fish, vegan) about 3-4 different salads, etc Chef has done a great job. About the location: Resort is placed few minutes away from the city of Kalamata at the east side of Messinian bay and the view from our room during sunset was breathtaking. You need a car if you're thinking about staying at this resort because you have to see all the lovely beaches close to it. You also want to visit Pylos and especially the beach called Voidokoilia which is located about 120 klm southwest. During afternoons you can enjoy the pool which is always clean but sometimes crowded having a soft drink from the pool bar. Overall it was a great experience and kids loved it. I would strongly recommend it to anyone as a value for money choice to visit Kalamata and surrounding territories. Thank you for everything.…
