We stayed here for the first night of our trip - having flown in to Kalamata. It set the mood for our holiday perfectly. A warm welcome, a fabulous maisonette with everything we needed and towels for the private beach just across the road. You could request what you wanted for breakfast and where you wanted breakfast so it could be brought to you. We opted for the poolside with a view across the sea. Absolutely perfect. I would definitely recommend this place.
The hotel is located 10 km south of Kalamata along the coastal strip. The beach being across the road. Our room 101 was located at pool level, it was large as seen in the photo's, it has table & chairs, nice size shower , mini fridge, sink & small Hot plate. Limited cooking equipment including a jug is available from reception. They need to add a tea towel in the room. Please note there are no toiletries or tea coffee in the rooms, first hotel we have come across with no soaps shampoo's etc. The staff are very friendly & obliging. Breakfast is served in your room or beside the pool from the selection you make from, Bread white or wholemeal, cake, cruskettes jam & honey Boiled or fried eggs Orange juice , tea & coffee Cooks surprise, ours was cheese & spinach slice day 1 & cheese & local greens slice day 2, not our liking. There are a few more hot items available which you pay for.…
This was our second stay in Mantinia Bay Hotel. Last time our room was very comfortable, and now we got the same apartment again. We do not know by chance or deliberately. About the breakfast, I should have to write an ode. We ordered it in the evening before, and they bring it up to our room the next morning. Of course not just what we asked for, but also enough food to supply an army. When we said that it is too much, the answer was that we Greeks have that kind of breakfast. The problem is that many fresh, crunchy mouthwatering pastries are hard to counter, and after two days I was able to pull up my zipper on my trousers only with difficulties. That's all about breakfast. The Nautica Bay Cafe was not open yet, but instead of it, the young man at the reception recommended the opposite Touristiko. It was probably recently opened since we didn't remember to see it before. Tripadvisor doesn't know about it yet, and when I requested a listing, I did not get an answer. Neither positive nor negative. It is an excellent place with good food and drinks, and a stunning sunset. That one comes free of charge. Ones we tried this restaurant, we didn't go anywhere else to have dinner. We found the Mantinia Bay hotel a very suitable place to explore the southern part of Peloponnese from there. Since we still want to see a few more places in that area, most probably next year we’ll stay in this hotel again. "Don't go off the beaten path."…
+ Small and family runned hotel located in a quiet, calm suburb to Kalamata. Personal and effective service. + Nice pool and stone beach right across the street. + Good breakfast and okej wi-fi. - Plastic glasses by the beach. More enviromental and ecological friendly focus would be great.
I had not booked any hotel for 1 night and should travel from Costa Navarino to Athen. Since Kalamata was on the way I searched tripadvisor and found this small hotel. I would never have found it if it had not been for tripadvisor. It were so nice and cute. The owner checked us in and were so friendly. He told us about the olive oil he sold in the reception. It came from his own farm and of course we bought some. We have not tried it yet. Accross the street we found the best restaurant that were soo cosy and had great food. I can really recomend it.
