We had originally intended to tent on Fogo Island with our dog, but the weather turned poor unexpectedly and we called the Quiet Cannon hotel at the last minute, hoping for a room. The manager said there was a room and that it was dog-friendly, and that he would go back to the hotel to check us in (this was...

I just stayed at this hotel while working and traveling in the area. It is a small hotel with basic amenities. It was very warm when I was there and the room had no air conditioning so sleeping through the night was difficult. The hotel is right next to the ferry terminal. There is nothing else around it so it's...

Customer service is nil. The room furniture is run down. We went there checked in and had to check out an hour later because of a family emergency. We tried to get a refund as we did not use the room and we were told that she would only give us a portion of a refund. They said they had...

We stay at the Quiet Cannon occasionally while on business, usually quick trips in and out based around the Ferry schedule to Fogo. they have two self catering units which offer more room, and that's worth it. Wish the restaurant had longer hours, ie can't get a hot breakfast until 9 am, however the food is decent. Only place on...

Above all, this hotel has the vertue of existing, being the only one on the island I think (except the luxurious white block in Joe Bat's Arm, otherwise B&B or Inns of similar type), next it is pet-friendly, a particularity hard to find in other accomodations. We spent two nights there with our doggy in mid august; the rooms was...

First of all, Fogo Island is beautiful so I didnt let this distract me from my stay. The two people at the counter were very rude. They charged people different rates for the same hotel. The people running the hotel left, and closed the restaurant and you had drive 30 minutes to get food. The hotel was old and outdated....

Well if you looking for good accomodations tis is not it. You don't hear the noise in this place, you feel it. The walls are paper thin and if your room faces the road you have the ferry line-up facing you and its inherent noise. In an age of Tablets, cell phones etc. If I wanted to plug in two devices...

The room was really clean and fresh, the queen size bed was sooooo comfortable. There was lots of lighting in the room too, great for anyone who has paper work to...
