Staff were amazing and assisted with all items. Stayed in igloo first night and cabin next 2. Both were great. Easy access to all activities. Included breakfast and dinner. Lunch was expensive at 22euro / person that was soup and lettuce.

Let me share with you that I have been in almost 60 countries and in many many resorts but this one gets the Price for worst service ! First obstacle is to reserve your trips - they do not answer the phone and emails are very delayed. When we Got through they Said you should reserve activities when you Get...

This will be my longest Tripadvisor review by a wide margin because part of this is therapy for just having returned from Kakslauttanen. I spent virtually every moment of my trip wondering how a place that has done so well marketing itself to the world could be so badly mishandled. Let me start by saying that in addition to traveling...

A couple of nights here as part of a group of four, attempting unsuccessfully to see the northern lights. The winter wonderland location is beautiful and the cabins are mostly comfortable. However, for the pricing (over a thousand euros a night), this place fell well short of expectations. It turns drip pricing into an art form that reminded me of...

We travelled from Sydney, Australia to chase the Aurora Borealias - or Northern Lights. As this was a once in a lifetime trip - we decided to spend the money and stay in a glass igloo in the East Village of Kakslauttanen. Everything they tell you about your stay was perfect. We took the small igloo with toilet only and...

After such a nice time it's difficult to be objective in my review of the kakslauttanen Artic resort but I think it's important for readers to get a real idea of the pros and cons and...

I'll start by saying this resort is very nice and well kept. My fiancé and I had a lot of fun experiencing the reindeer aurora hunting and husky excursion. The reason we booked this hotel was for the chance to sleep under the northern lights (aurora). Unfortunately with nature nothing is garenteed and we didn't get to see anything during...

I am going to start by saying I have never been in a situation as shocking and disappointing with any establishment before. Today, Nov 26 we called the reception line with some question on availability, as we considered booking 4 nights in February. The female that responded was incredibly rude, would talk over me and not even give me a...

Family saw Kakslauttanen on Facebook and immediately wanted to visit. We stayed in a Kelo Igloo, which works fine for a group that is okay with a one room cabin and a single bathroom. The interior is rustic, but pretty. Our granddaughters are 8 and 14, so not having a screen on the fireplace or railing on the top bunk...

What to say about Kakslauttenen arctic resort? Well let's start with the positives. The location is at the far north of Finland in semi wilderness but with good connections by road, coach and fairly close to Ivalo airport. The weather was certainly wintery when we arrived and in the fresh snow it looks stunning - but then in fresh snow...
