The hotel is out dated. When you enter the bathroom it is like entering a time machine going back to 1960. The rest of the room could use an update as well. I slept well, the bed was ok. I went to the restaurant and had a steak, this was really good. Breakfast was ok, nothing…
The hotel is dated, as others have started. It looks like a palimpsest building, repurposed a few times. The room had pet feces stains on the floor and mildew in the shower. I forgot toothpaste and the front desk charges $3 for one time use tubes.
Pretty basic hotel but does the job. The service was very good from reception staff. Cafe good and breakfast plentiful. Bed comfy. Room as hot as blazes due to hot weather and no air conditioning. Would stay again but pray it wasn’t hot weather!!!
We stayed one night after arriving on the ferry. 4 bed room was large and the beds were comfortable. Free WiFi with decent speeds and a standard breakfast with eggs, meats, cheese etc. The floors are old and creaking so there is quite a but of noise. Bring earplugs

"Ask for the newer rooms if u dont want the floor to make noise."
"Ask for a room in the east wing, as the other wing is facing a rather busy road and the railway."
"Plenty room for parking, we were on motorcycles and had no problem finding a spot that felt safe."
"It can be noisy from the truck traffic heading for the late night ferry, so if you are noise sensitive, ask for a room on the back side away from the main highway."
"Ground floor rooms have a small terrace that allows for smoking."
