The rooms were very clean, the staff helpful and very pleasant, the food was excellent. A lovely place to stay for our family get-together. A cosy traditional hotel. Highly recommended. We would certainly stay there again.

Lovely place in a lovely setting, our room was spacious and clean. Enjoyed our stay but what made this visit so good was the staff, they could not do enough for us.. and Michael the barman (I think this was his name) was a star!! A pleasure to meet Thank you

My husband & I had a really smashing stay at this hotel just before Easter. Clean and bright room with tea and coffee facilities, friendly staff, great restaurant and a good location to see Somerset and surrounding area.

Just got back from a three day break with friends at the lordleaze hotel in chard, Somerset. The hotel was tucked away at the bottom of a lane with its own gardens. The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and willing to help with any queries you might have. The food in the restaurant was excellent and well presented. The...

Though there is little in Chard that is not in every other small town, we stayed there as a base to visit other places in the area. The hotel is an old farmhouse, extended somewhat, with some original outbuildings, and as stated in the directions, you need to pinpoint the hotel on a satnav, otherwise you will end up in...

Hotel is well signposted from Chard, even though you have to go through a housing estate to get there. Decor is a little dated, but the room was comfortable enough. Plenty of parking space. Food was very tasty and well presented.

Just returned from a lovely 3 day break. The hotel staff are amazingly friendly and efficient. The atmosphere is relaxing. In the restaurant, the local resourced food is so fresh and well cooked. The sausage supper at the bar is fabulous and originally presented. The rooms are clean and pretty. We will return.

Yes, as others say this hotel is in a very odd location, through housing estates and ending in a field where people walk their dogs. However, it is well sign posted. The room was comfortable except for the stuffiness. I would imagine in the summer, being hot and stuffy. We left our windows open all the time but we're still...

Chard is not the most inspiring place to drive through and our hearts sank a little when Satnav indicated that we were pretty close and we found ourselves driving through a residential estate. However, the final quarter of a mile or so was in open country and the hotel looked most inviting at the end of its approach road. We...

We returned following a lovely stay last time. We were not disappointed. The hotel is spotless, the food delicious and the staff approachable, friendly and professional. We are already booked to return in June!
