The place is very quiet, clean, you have a superb restaurant on the site, the beach is clean, beautiful and private. The people are very friendly always willing to help. They serve fresh and local fruits and vegetables.

The room was clean, simply furnished but had everything we needed. Staff were very helpful and pleasant and brought in a coffee maker for us. It was nice to sit on the verandah overlooking the well kept gardens. The restaurant menu was a little limited, but the food was very nice and the location was lovely right on the seafront.... More

We stayed a couple of nights at the Portsmouth Beach Hotel as part of our walking holiday with KE Adventure. The hotel (multi-storey block) itself appears to be nothing other than student dormitories for the local university. It is the beach huts you should stay in. Used by the scriptwriters during the filming of Pirates of the Caribbean, each of... More

The beech cottages are not bad. You can hear the waves at night and the AC works great. The rooms were clean, and house keeping did a great job. It is a picturesque place, with the a breath taking view of Cabrits Nation Park across the bay. There is a reef on the North Side of the dock with great... More

There are two redeeming features: the beach and the staff. The woman at the front desk was especially nice, even offered to try and find some very hard to find Dominican coffee for me. The hotel is located on a relatively nice beach, with great views. That said, in the three days I stayed there my room was never cleaned.... More

This is one of the best experiences with hotels I've had. The people working there are kind and very quick to help with any of your needs. They enjoy answering questions as well as telling you more about this island. The hotel is close to several good restaurants, has an excellent internet connection and the snorkeling is incredible. This is... More

Rooms were comfortable but a bit this feels like student accommodation which I think it is. The best bit is the great location by a very nice sheltered beach and a good bar & restaurant. the staff were also excellent very helpful and good advice. When i left my camera on a table one of the staff thoughtfully locked it... More

Dont be misleaded by booking sites; there are plenty of cheap sleeping possibilities in portsmouth .... We asked our bus driver and he arranged an apartment for 80ecs , and it seemed also that written could have found easy other guesthouses for around 100ecs.... But we also didn't find portsmouth worth a visit....

We spent one night here as a stop over before heading to Roseau. The staff was excellent and even found me a taxi on a holiday when no other taxis would take me to Roseau. The location is close to enough places where you can walk to grab a bite as well, which was good for us since we did... More

“I chose third floor - the view is worth it - if possible, get the north side to look out on Cabrits park and Fort Shirley with Morne aux Diables in the distance. For the adventurous, the Picard cottages on the beach, each with an associated celebrity occupant from the Pirates of the Caribbean filming, gives you oceanfront on the excellent swimming beach.”
