My wife, our neighbours and I stayed at La Source during our recent touring holiday - this is a great place to stay. An exellent welcome, really good accommodation and one of the best dinners that we had during our two weeks away. We had dinner on the terrace as it was warm - it had been very hot during...

We needed a place to stop for a couple of nights while visiting friends and chose the Auberge de la Source as it was a Logis de France hotel. Jean-Pierre and Annelise, the hosts, made our stay comfortable and pleasant. Jean-Pierre speaks good English and we found ourselves having conversations in a mixture of English and French without thinking about...

Setting was lovely with gardens to relax in. The room was large, well furnished and very comfortable. We ate on the terrace. Really good food, and good wine selection. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. They also serve locally brewed craft beers.

We stayed two nights here whilst visiting Oradour and walking in the area. The owners were very welcoming and helpful, giving us details of walks and recommendations of where to visit. The owners speak very good English which is a real bonus. The food was excellent and the hotel quiet so we could get a good nights sleep. We were even...

We enjoyed 3 lovely nights at this hotel. The owners are welcoming and very helpful. Nothing is too much trouble. The food was excellent. The room clean and spacious. We loved everything about the hotel, the owners, the view, the staff and the meals, and look forward to a longer stay next time. Very convenient for Oradour and Limoges.

We were very warmly welcomed by the owners of the hotel - shown to a lovely room with a beautiful outlook - and given advice about where we could walk our dogs. After our walk we had a delicious supper in a lovely dining room - the old parts of the hotel have lots of character. The owners were very...

I would endorse most of the reviews here in respect of the good food, attractive grounds and affa ble proprietors. I didn't think that much of our room however. Like the beds in many Logis hotels the bed is only just a double and these days simply under-sized. Similarly the decor is old fashioned and random. Little or no thought...

This hotel is very small, just a few rooms. We were welcomed by the manager who speaks very good English. After arrival we borrowed umbrellas and took a walk around the little town. This is a small town in the French countryside. We had two 2-bed rooms, good enough for a one night stay. The wireless internet worked well. Dinner...

I can only echo the comments of other reviewers - this is an excellent hotel where the welcome and service were very friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable and we ate very well. We stayed here prior to visiting Oradour sur Glane, which is about ten minutes away - a sombre and moving experience. I would thoroughly recommend this...

The hotel is everything you could wish for. It is set in a lovely calm and peaceful village where the only noise you hear is the sound of birds singing. The proprietors were charming and very friendly. They have spent the last 15 years renovating an old Staging Post and all the rooms have retained the atmosphere of bygone ages...
