We were really happy with this room. Don’t equate a TA five with a five star- it means to me this little motel exceeded my expectations. It was a last minute booking during our Newfoundland road trip and the owner/manager (Josephine I believe) responded in minutes. The room (#7) was nicely equipped and really cute. It faced the road with a window to the side but we never noticed any noise. It included a small coffee pot but the water isn’t really for drinking in this area so hopefully you will have some of your own. I was able to sit in the sun and drink my coffee in the morning which is all I need to start the day. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I have been visiting Newfoundland during the month of July for many years. We were so happy to be able to visit again after the Covid closures. But because we are seniors now we are still being very cautious about Covid. This led us to stay in motels instead of B & B's and we may have become permanently converted. We have driven past this brightly painted eye-catching motel many times and we decided that this was the time to try it out. What a find! The owner is delightful, friendly and we felt at home immediately. We stayed in the unit at the back and it was very quiet. Plenty of parking. Plenty of grassy area for children to run and play. The room was a good size and was spotless! The bed was comfy and the bathroom was clean with plenty of fluffy towels. We just didn't know what to do for breakfast. We had bread with us and the owner has the most delicious strawberry, pineapple, rhubarb homemade jam for sale so problem solved. We stayed two nights and she was amazed we had eaten a whole jar. We stocked up on jam for home too--soooo good. It was perfect. There was a table and chairs in our room perfect to eat our breakfast and our take out meals on. Thanks for a great stay. We didn't want to leave after the two nights. We will be back!

St. Brendan's owner responded to my call, within ten minutes and gave me a nice room in back. Parking was a group effort, with my upstairs and next door neighbours and I working out a scheme that met everyone's needs. The room itself was marvelous, and had everything I needed for a comfortable night, including WiFi.

My group had two rooms. Both were neat and clean. During our stay I needed an air pump for my father's extra off-road wheel to his wheelchair. Josephine was our savior. She had an air pump in her truck, so my dad was able to visit the viking ruins.

This motel is just "cute as a button!" It is brightly coloured and nicely laid out. The room is surprisingly large with all the amenities one could ask. Parking is on site so no problems there. Staff were extremely helpful. It was unfortunate we had to drive to another village for breakfast and dinner as Saint Lunaire-Griquet seems like a lovely place to explore. We would not hesitate to come back.

This is a fabulous small motel outside of St Anthony. Very clean, and the owner Josephine is super friendly but respects your privacy. The room is basic but provides everything you need for a night or two. Close to a few restaurants for dinner, but not close to any breakfast places that open before 9am.

This little family-run motel was recommended to us by many of the local B&B's and motels when we raced up to St. Anthony to see the icebergs and nothing else was available. All four of us fit comfortably into a room with two double beds at a reasonable price. Room was simple but clean. The front desk staffperson was very friendly and gave us advice on local restaurants and activities. She also booked a boat trip for us. The motel is about 15 minutes out of St. Anthony in St. Lunaire-Griquet, but just about 5 km from the L'Anse aux Meadows historic site. Even though it's right on the main road, it's quiet and comfortable. Wouldn't recommend it as a holiday destination but it's a more than adequate place to stay for a night or two while exploring the area.

We stayed at St. Brendan's for a night in June. My husband & I occupied a queen room and my parents the other queen room. Both rooms were lovely - very spacious and clean and had nice little touches like bottled water etc. The only negatives would be the check in process wasn't overly smooth due to tech issues but that's not their fault and they were flexible to let us return later to check in. Also the sound proofing isn't great as we heard everything in the room above us. But otherwise no complaints as it was comfortable and clean! Also centrally located for visiting the viking & Grenfell sites and it was within walking distance to the little village where there was a restaurant and shop. Would recommend!

This cute place was perfect as a base for exploring L'Anse Aux Meadows and while there we saw the most impressive iceberg of our Newfoundland travels. The room was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Some of my most restful sleeps of the trip were there. The best part, though, was Josephine who manages the motel. We found her to be exceptionally genuine -- one of those people who upon meeting for the first time, you feel like you've known all your life. I highly recommend this lodging!

Needed a place to stay near the Viking site in L'Anse aux Meadows. St Brendan's was recommended by folks in St Anthony when we couldn't get accommodations there. Said we'd love it and that they just toured the facility and that it was renovated and quite nice...absolutely right! We were personally escorted to our room by the desk clerk, she was very gracious and quite helpful in providing info on where to eat, etc.-made our stay very pleasant...great room-very comfortable on a cool July nights, great bed , frig, and real glasses! Truly enjoyed our 2 day quiet stay at St Brendan's and upon checking out, discovered that our clerk was a photographer with "iceberg" prints for sale...bought several...best we found in our tour of Newfoundland.
