Highly recommend staying here. The family is wonderful and sweet. They were incredibly helpful with our questions about visiting Rio Celeste and about getting to our next destination. Open, comfortable feel, hammocks everywhere, comfy clean rooms, bed, and shower. I spent two weeks in Costa Rica and this place and town has my heart.

As you can see, all the other reviews have echoed the same sentiment but I feel compelled to leave a review as well. This was our favorite lodging on our trip and we found it due to such great previous reviews on TripAdvisor in fact. These did not lead us astray at all. Communication beforehand was prompt and clear ,...

This is my first time writing a review, and it is my pleasure to do it! Staying here at this hostel was such an amazing experience. My travel partner and I got into town around 1 o'clock and our plan was to visit Rio Celeste that day. The Hostess and her family were very friendly and helpful! After exploring, we...

I never write reviews online for anything, but my stay at this hostel was so exceptional that I have to do so. I stayed in the dormitory for one night with some friends. Our reservations elsewhere fell through and we found ourselves at this very unique backpackers lodge. They have traditional dorms, but we stayed in the private room. It is in a large home, and the family is the best part of the stay. They are so nice, so welcoming, so helpful... I just can't say enough about them. As an added...

I stayed at Río Celeste Backpackers for one night and it was one of the best hostel experiences I had in Costa Rica. The hostel is run by a wonderful & lovely Costa Rican family. Because I arrived with the last bus at night, the husband even went by car to search for me so I can't get lost in...

Me and my friend stayed two nights at Rio Celeste Backpackers and it was just amazing. The house is just lovely, with hammocks at the terrace and a wonderful garden with a lot of plants and animals (tucans, hummingbirds, frogs,...) surrounding it. We stayed at the dorm (15$/night) which was very clean and with a Fan. There are two bathrooms...
