We are biased because Pip and Donald are our friends! The other reviews of this little Costa Rican gem are all absolutely, positively correct. My only advice is book an extra night, maybe 2 and see if the new Casitas are available! Its been everything I was looking for in a Costa Rican experience. We will be back!

The owners Pip and Donald are very hospitable and personable. We stayed in three of their five rooms and all were nicely appointed and maintained, clean and cozy with sweet personal touches; the more recently built rooms are gorgeous. Our focus was birding and the viewing from the open air breakfast room was remarkable, with toucans and dozens of other...

My daughter and I didn't stay overnight because we were visiting this sustainable development B&B as part of a private tour. It was great to meet a Pip, a fellow Australian, who manages the place with her Costa Rican husband. We can understand why Pip has chosen this lifestyle and she's such a bubbling personality you feel ever so welcome...

We had an amazing three nights here with our two kids (7 & 9). Pip, Donald and Ellie and Kira are fantastic hosts - so friendly. We stayed in the Mariposa room (room 2) - great large size, good sized bathroom with a double bed and a set of bunks. Also had a kitchen area which we didn't use but...

Had a pleasure to stay a night at Casitas Tenorio with my family. I wish we could stay longer.... The hotel is very nice and cozy, owned by a very friendly and hospitable family. We lived in a very nice bungalow - very cozy and nicely furnished inside. Its outer walls were beautifully painted - it looked like the bungalow...

Casitas Tenorio is a beautiful, authentic, welcoming and memorable place to stay. You should go. Pip and Donald could not have been more helpful. Breakfast was different every day but always delicious. The casitas are very clean and have wonderful forest views. Breakfast is served overlooking a tropical garden where you'll see howler monkeys, toucans, hummingbirds and tons more wildlife....

Pip and Donald run a wonderful B&B in the rainforest on the flank of the Tenorio Volcano. Every morning while we ate a sumptuous breakfast we were treated to views of an amazing variety of birds, including toucans, oropendulas and so many more(!). There is also a lovely hike through the forest on their property with great hummingbird viewing. We...

Super nice and small location, very kind owners, middle of the rainforest. There are a lot of animals, even during the breakfast you can see some of them. NOT profitoriented people, farm. We really recommend it.

This is a family managed B&B that leaves nothing to be desired. The chalet we had had a nicely selected and perfectly crafted interior and every little detail was looked after by our hosts Pippa and Donald with loving care. The room easily accomodates four people with a kitchenette, a nice spacious bathroom and a terrace with a beautiful view...

“Our casita was spacious and comfortable. Be aware that some construction is still going on. It did not bother us, however you should expect some noise as they continue to complete a new casita and work to put some finishing touches on others. ”
