We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casitas Tenorio! The property is beautiful and lush - you feel like you are in the middle of the rainforest because you pretty much are. We saw so many birds and other wildlife from our Casita and from the...More
What a jewel of a place to stay and experience the magic around Tenorio. Our casita was tremendous. It was spacious and cool. The murals all over the property were so cool and interesting. Good work!

We had no problem with any particular bugs. There are the usual tropical bugs that you find everywhere but none that we were concerned about. Bringing bug spray won't really help. Just be prepared to help a few critters back outside! This is just life in the tropics whether you are staying at the Hilton or in a tent.

Yes there are a couple of small restaurants in town one in particular and the most popular is El Barrigon which serves many typical Costa Rican Cuisine like the most common typical dish call Casado. Also the pizza's he makes are pretty tasty. Also there is a small roadside stand on the road towards Upala approx 7 Kilometers that is excellent. They serve this Costa rican smoked pork that is awesome, and the hand made tortillas are amazing. The name of this place is Soda La Ceiba. Just ask Donald or Pip they will steer you in the right direction.
As for the rooms yes each has its own private bathroom. You will be more than pleased with your stay at Casitas. Donald and Pip and their place will make you feel right at home. You will leave there with your soul content and a true feeling and understanding of the term all Ticos use "Pura Vida"
