Super busy with the games on that weekend but lovely hotel. Dog friendly and they spoiled him with scrambled eggs for breakfast!

Lovely, friendly staff who made us feel very at home. Had great tips and advice for things to do, including where and when was best for a swim in the river. Delicious dinners and breakfasts. Great location in the heart of Tomintoul overlooking these square.

Stayed in August and the owners couldn't do enough. Room was big, clean and had a super bathroom with lovely towels.
Food was really good and the breakfast included was superb.

Recently stayed with my father and son for a four night stay so that we could explore the region. We had a great time at this value hotel. If your expecting top-end luxury then don't stay here. If your after great value, clean airy rooms, good honest food and lovely service where nothing is to much trouble then stay here and you will not be disappointed. Breakfast is great. Freshly squeezed orange juice, fresh excellent coffee and a great hot selection of food all served by charming efficient staff.
The location is great to set in a lovely quiet village amongst stunning scenery. The village even has its own superb community supported bird hide overlooking wetlands where we spent our evenings watching amazing wildlife well into the early hours (in summer the sun barely sets).

Very reasonably priced privately owned quiet hotel located in centre of quiet village in whisky country. Spent 2 nights golfing (Dufftown) and distillery visits (Cragganmore and Glenlivit) in absolutely beautiful countryside. Very pleasant and helpful staff, including owner Liesje Cochrane and Jagoda Gulic. Magnificent breakfast! Only suggestion for improvement would be darker curtains in bedroom. Overall, great stay.
