Went for 10 days and as always loved this place! Friendly staff, fabulous location, rooms excellent with fridge, microwave along with a great bathroom ! You don’t need anything more than this and with a continental breakfast ! Clean, right in the GAP area and across the street from open beach . Really you will not be disappointed!!

Came on the 13 th December and still here till 10 th January... the best holiday ever !!!! My husband and our daughter and 2 grandsons are staying at this lovely B&B. The rooms are very clean, great beds and fantastic air con, the family that owns and runs this B&B go out of their way to help with all our needs, on Christmas Day they made all the guests Christmas dinner which was fantastic, Tamisha will do your clothes washing for you and Scott and Ruth are the nicest people who run this place and we have booked again to return in March. This place is a little Gem of a place, and as regular visitors to Barbados they have just gained themselves another regular customer.

Harlem b&b is a great place to stay if you are ever in Barbados to enjoy the nightlife on st. Lawrence Gap or there just to visit the embassy. It is in walking distance to many great restaurants and clubs. The rooms are a good size, bathrooms are large, AC works well (important) overall everything was very well kept and VERY clean. The continental breakfast was just ok, oven made pastries that get hard after sitting out for too long and bagels. They should consider adding whole fruit and/or individual size boxes of cereal or maybe even wrapped muffins that have a better shelf life. However, the coffee was pretty good. Another suggestion would be adding or having available on request, some sort of mattress topper. That was my only real disappointment and why I didn’t give it 5 stars....the mattress was very hard, which is fine for some but for me it made it a bit uncomfortable to sleep at night. Overall, this was a good accommodation for the price and I would stay there again.

I've just returned from a week in Barbados, and my stay at the Harlem B&B was absolutely perfect. I had a large room with two double beds, and it was equipped with excellent air conditioning and a lovely large bathroom and shower. The room was spotlessly clean. It was a wonderful base for my week, and the location is brilliant. You're in a quiet local suburb, but within a few minutes walk to all the bars and restaurants on The Gap and Dover Beach. You're also very close to the main road that runs between Oistins and Bridgetown, and the reggae buses and government run buses are very easy to get to when you want to move around the island. The staff in Harlem are fantastic too. One lady took me up to main road and showed me how to use the reggae buses - it was so nice of her and meant I felt really confident using this unique transport option. The only issue I had was that there are a huge number of smoke alarms in the property, and on my first night the one outside my room was pinging constantly to say it had a low battery. I asked if this could be sorted, but it never happened - I eventually went and pulled the battery out myself as it was driving me mad! But then another one started pinging (not close enough to my room to be annoying) and carried on pinging throughout the stay. The staff said they've asked the manager to sort them out, but he never does. Just a very very minor niggle though in what is an absolutely fantastic and friendly B&B - thank you to everyone for making my stay so enjoyable!
