Just got back from staying here and my first night at the hotel tarnished my first ever stay in Barbados. Myself and my friend arrived at the hotel and immediately put our money in the safe and went out to eat in the hotel. Didn't take any money out with us as you can't spend cash in the hotel restaurant. The next morning I counted my money from the safe (don't normally think to do this but this time I did) and I was short by 250BBD. My friend then checked hers and she was down 60BBD. Strangely the money taken was in denominations from the tops of our piles of money. There was no logical reason for this money going missing except that the safe had been accessed and money taken out. The hotel staff receptionist had entered the room to leave a bottle of wine whilst we were out but they insist they were in there for 1 minute and hadn't accessed the safe. Either way the money was gone so I would check and double check your belongings on a regular basis if staying here. Other than that the hotel is nice enough and the gift shop in the lobby is amazing. If you're looking for the best beach in Barbados then this isn't the place, as the seaweed can build up here but its easy to get to other beaches on the islands very cheap buses so it's an option at a reasonable price.…
Wow ! Fabulous stay for my partners 60th birthday (and mine too !).. lovely room - pool - bar - food and wonderful friendly staff. The best curry shrimp bowl ever - my fave dish whilst out there - and on a day when it wasn’t on the lunch menu the chef knocked it up for me anyway - just an example of staff going above and beyond.. the smashed yam in Jakes was my second fave dish - I became a bit obsessed 😂😂 One day the sole of my sandal came undone and was flapping - the lady cleaning the room was there and we asked where we could get done superglue - a maintenance man walked by, she asked him and he came back 5 mins later, glued the sandal for me and it’s as good as new ! Now that is above and beyond - at least in the UK - but I felt that in this hotel this is the norm - they really can’t do enough for you !! The hotel has a lovely feel to it - and no, it’s not 5 star but then neither are the prices ! The rooms are large, well equipped, showers hot, towels and bedding of good quality and air con and fan are very effective. Now the bed, Oh my goodness - it’s in a quality of its own ! I bought a new mattress last year at home and it’s lovely….. but the hotel mattress is the most comfy I have ever slept in ….. I had to strip the bed off to look at it to see what make it was and it’s a Barbadian purchase…. Hotel is on a main road - if traffic upsets you - book a room with a sea view -or don’t stay. Plenty of bonuses in the fact that bus stops outside hotel hey you to many places and mini taxis- big buses and taxis are plentiful. Can walk to many places quickly too.. can’t think of any negative aspects of the hotel itself - but seaweed can be thick and plentiful and not easy or safe to wade through it - only happened to us on our last day though - the whistling tree frogs are like very noisy crickets - prices in the small supermarkets are very pricey compared to uk - crisps choc Heinz beans are about 4 times more expensive than the uk - but everything is imported. We took coffee and marmite with us but would extend this to a few snacks on our next visit !!!! We were told by other guests who have been to Barbados many times - and this hotel - that you don’t visit Barbados once - and they are right ! We will be back !…
Stayed here for 8 nights in June 2022. What a very pleasant hotel with friendly and courteous staff throughout. We stayed in the annex in a one bed apartment. TBH it was a little dated in decor though it was cleaned spotlessly daily and had everything we needed. We felt a little isolated here as it was across the busy road from the hotel and next time we will stay in the main hotel. However it did not take from the holiday one bit and we enjoyed our stay here very much. We had a problem with a lack of hot water in the apartment on 2 occasions which the hotel staff sorted out very quickly and effortlessly. We were on a half board basis and the food was excellent. We loved the breakfasts and the excellent choice of options coupled the views looking out to sea. The dinners in Jakes or Cocos were just as good and so well presented. The dinner choice was even better. In particular, the Indian night, the pasta night and the fish choices were first class. A lot of thought went into the food preparation and it showed. We were aware of some previous postings saying food service was slow. We found it generally good with the odd delay here and there but was never an inconvenience for us. On one morning the server apologised for slow service as she was on her own and very quickly one of the reception staff joined her to assist. Staff here are very nice and helpful and we enjoyed the food experience overall very much. Security staff on the beach and front of house were lovely and extremely chatty. Always there yet unobtrusive . Thanks to Hatfield who helped us check in with our bags and on the last day hailed a taxi for us when our pre booked car from St James tours did not show up. Thanks also to Supervisor Clarissa who was a great help in ringing the tour company to find out where our driver was. We booked a Teds tour and a trip to Huntes gardens/Nicholas Abbey with Viada. Such a lovely person to deal with and good value for both trips. We enjoyed the pool and sun loungers. There was never a problem in getting a seat /sun bed near the pool. This is not a ‘reserve a seat with a towel’ hotel, always plenty for everyone. The piece de resistance though was the gorgeous sandy beach and the calm warm bath, sorry sea, out to the reef where we snorkelled almost daily. What an unforgettable experience. We walked locally to Rockley beach and to see the early morning horses at Pebbles beach so the hotel is really well located and on the main bus route on the south and west side of the island. Buses and mini vans were in abundance and we enjoyed the experience, even the occasion when the mini van to Oistins was blasting its reggae music so loud we had to tug the drivers shirt to tell him to let us out at the next stop. However more importantly we always felt safe and this is an excellent way to get around. Check in and check out was very efficient, we had a nice welcome drink on arrival and all the paperwork was done very efficiently. Our holding deposit on our credit card, was made and it disappeared the day after we checked out as Margot on reception had promised. In summary , this was a wonderful holiday made special by the attitude of all the staff in this hotel. It is obvious that there is a strong customer culture here. As Hatfield said to us one morning ‘we are your family while you are here , so far away from home’ We were made so welcome from start to finish and we look forward very much to returning. Thank you…

Returned to Coconut Court after 6 six years for 10 nights B & B, Place looking better than ever ,Stay in room 56 good views and no issues with the room at all, Booked all tours with Vaida at the Activity desk (Teds Tours ,Harbour Lights , Mount Gay Cocktail Making and Snorkeling trip,) Used Jakes and Cocos for food , Keith in Cocos was great , Front desk was very helpful ,check in was quick and easy and sorted out a late check out at the last minute for us , The Managers Rum Punch Party was not happening due to Covid , Hope to return next year
This was my second time to Coconut Court in approximately eight months and I cannot wait to go back! The hotel is now busier and and there are lots of great activities on site which were not available during the pandemic. The staff are exceptional the location is Second To None. The stretch of the beach in front of the hotel is amazing. Unfortunately we had some bad seaweed on two of the days but obviously there is nothing to Hotel could do for that.(though it would have been nice if they could have cleared a path from the lounger to the water through the ankle deep seaweed.) The food and drinks were plentiful and extremely tasty. The one thing that is also great about the hotel is the type of clientele they attract. Everyone who was there was welcoming, friendly, and great to talk to. You had new friends within a matter of H. I can see why many people had been going to this hotel for in excess of 20 years. I cannot wait to plan my next vacation here.…
Really enjoyed my stay here with my 3 year old daughter. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful, always happy to help, caring and full of positivity. I’m not good with names but on my daughters birthday a very lovely member of staff gave her some balloons and a birthday cake which was very sweet of her. Thank you. I was a bit worried if I made the right choice of hotel at first, it seems like it is more targeted at couples and families with older children. I thought maybe my daughter making noise by the pool might annoy the guests who were relaxing but everyone there was lovely and my daughter loved the pool and beach area. I booked a partial sea view, the room was newly renovated and huge, just like pictures. Really big comfy bed too and big bathroom. I’m familiar with the island and my surroundings but travelling alone with a child I felt extremely safe at this hotel, it’s very secure and security there are great. I think the only thing for me that could’ve been a real bonus is if there was a children’s channel. I think there were only 4 or 5 random channels on the tv. We were out all day, but for the times we were in the room it would’ve been useful. Luckily we had a kindle with us anyway. I would definitely return to this hotel, hopefully on my next visit but I think I would probably book an annex next time just because I would be able to cook etc. my child is a fussy eater. We’re currently at an Airbnb now in Barbados, just because the host can let us checkout late and plus we have the kitchen now. My daughter keeps saying she misses the hotel and she doesn’t like the pool where we are lol. I promised her we will go back to coconut court soon. Thanks…
I enjoyed every day of my stay at Coconut Court Beach Hotel. This hotel offers a great mix of activities for families, couples and solo guests. The atmosphere is laid back but upbeat, so where ever you are on the compound you would be energized and happy to see the friendly faces of other guests and various workers. Workers who always appear ready and willing to assist. Security is always present and when relaxing on the beach you would not be approached by someone walking on the shore to sell you something. I enjoyed the great selection of music piped softly through the speaker boxes while enjoying a cocktail at the beach bar and when having meals in the dining room with a great view of the sea everywhere. Excellent cuisine both local and international was served with a wide selection of choices. The seaweed infiltrated the shore line sometimes, but not too much to prevent swimming in the calm tranquil waters, and on most days sea weed was washed away early in the morning. All COVID protocol was observed. I highly recommend Coconut Court Beach Hotel…
First time to Barbados and loved it. Hotel can be tired in places, but service and friendliness of staff (and all Bajans) unparalleled. We moved from Annex rooms after a couple of days to superior room and definetly worth it. We also hired. Cr, but wouldn’t bother at our next visit as once you work out the cost of taxis there are thousands of them. A Brilliant holiday!
We had a wonderful time at Coconut Court Hotel. We were welcomed with a rum punch and the check in process was quick and easy. We requested a change of room [deluxe ocean front] to a top floor one [room 118] to have a wonderful view and this was changed quickly and without any fuss. There were stairs to climb as there is no lift, but this exercise just counterbalanced the fantastic food at the restaurants! We were also treated to feeling very special by the staff who made a wonderful flower and towel sculpture and left a bottle of wine to help celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The rooms are cleaned daily, plenty of fresh towels, the fridge, kettle, and microwave were useful for snacks during the day and the first cuppa in the morning. The air conditioning, ceiling fan was welcome, and the Wi-Fi was great in the room and even was picked up by the pool, bars and beach. We were half board and did not have a bad meal. We went to both Jakes and Cocos, service was always fabulous, and there was a good selection of individually made meals, with only one buffet evening. Breakfasts were great, lots to chose from and all very tasty. Drinks were not included within our package, but these were reasonably prices and generous. The pool area is on the smaller size but had plenty of beds. We preferred to lay on the amazing beach, and the man-made reef was perfect for safe snorkeling with plenty of fish to watch. A wonderful experience you never got bored of. We joined Teds Tour, which was informative, friendly, and fun and traveled around the Island learning about the history and more recent changes. Our own hire car was organised through the hotel, and this was perfect, picked up and dropped off at the hotel without any fuss. The position of the hotel is perfect to walk or get the bus to both Pebbles Beach, Carlisle Bay or Bridgetown, and also St Lawrence Gap in the other direction. Perfect position for everything really. I would honestly struggle to find any negatives from our whole experience of staying at Coconut Court Hotel. As it is a smaller family run hotel, it has a friendly intimate feeling, and while there we really felt like part of the family. I can understand the reason so many visitors return.…
