This is one of these cases where the photos are done nicely but when you see the hotel from the street your hear drops. Very outdated building with grey dusty patches - a bit scary. Can't say that reception staff is friendly, didn't see them crack a single smile. The room is very average, tiles in the bathrooms damaged from the water poring from the bath as the shower curtain doesn't offer much protection at all. Teeny tiny balcony not suitable for sitting down really. Doors are very old and make so much noise when you open or close them. Breakfast is nice and the lady serving it is very lovely. Other than that, not much to remember at all for a very unreasonable high price.
The exterior of this hotel needs some tidying up however once inside we found it clean, nicely decorated and smells nice! The room was more than adequate for our 3 night stay, bed comfortable and a small balcony with sea view. The air conditioning worked great (it was hot we needed it) Staff on reception were friendly. We did not try breakfast as the hotel is within walking distance to the harbour and many choices of restaurants.
Stayed one night is this charing hotel when we first arrived, very charming and helpful staff. Breakfast is exceptional with a all the usual croissant etc plus a range of the most delicious home made pastries.
My family and I stayed here for one night when we road tripped around the Northern part of Corsica, and it was such a great experience! We came to St. Florent at five in the afternoon and got two rooms straight away, without booking up front. The rooms are spacious and clean, and very modern with trendy colours and furniture - and the same goes for the bathrooms. The beds were comfy, and the wifi worked without trouble. The breakfast was tasty, with baguettes, toast, fruit, mini pancakes, yogurt, corn flakes, coffee, tea, juice, and a variety of sweet pastry in a nice environment. Staff was helpful and sweet, and the location is also very good; just a short walk from the harbour and town center.
We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights , it was very basic, the aircon was broken and the bathroom was very tired. The service and subsequent attitude of the staff there however beggars belief! During our stay room service accidentally took a towel belonging to us, not just an ordinary towel but a baby towel given to us on the birth of our son - so incredibly important. We started off understanding that mistakes happen and having spoken to the hotel management accepted their offer to replace the towel, since they said they were unable to retrieve it from the laundry company. However it soon became clear this was never their intention and after countless emails and telephone calls they finally today told us “they had bigger problems to deal with than our towel.” The lady who we have spoken to throughout the process refused to give us her name, or the name of anyone in management we could speak to. We suspect she is the owner. She is the lady who sits on reception all day on the phone to her friends in between smoking a thousand cigarettes. Clearly we are not returning customers however want to share our experience because hoteliers that behave like this do not deserve to have honest paying customers!! …
