We've just returned after staying a week at the excellent Ugie House hotel. The owners are in the process of updating the rooms. We stayed in room number one which had recently been redecorated. The room is very well equipped and tastefully decorated with a rather nice mural of a local beauty scene. The bed was very comfortable and there...

We went for lunch and ended up with frozen fish and chips and an afternoon tea where the cakes were bought off the shelf. Not good. We had difficulty contacting someone at reception before being showed where the restaurant was. I wouldn't visit again.

Improved the room since our last visit. But breakfast area awful. Horrid brown dirty carpet. No fruit on display or a little cake just white bread. One has to make toast if you wish it. Cereals , milk, orange juice and one other. A bit bare of choice . Attitude a bit off - seems customer just in their way.

We decided to pop in for a meal on the way home after shopping in Aberdeen. I had Cajun chicken and the wife had Roast Beef. The chicken was very pleasant but no or very little Cajun spice. And after watching BBC bake off (batter week) the wife said the chef would have been voted off for their Yorkies😳

In July 2016 I spent 2 days at the Ugie House and found it to be most pleasant. The architecture of the place, the furnishings, the helpful staff...I was made quite comfortable and only wish I had more time to stay there. When you get off the train, the Ugie House is not more than a mile away so take...

We stayed here for 5 nights in August and it is the perfect base for exploring Speyside. The staff are friendly and the beds are comfy.Nothing is too much trouble for Robbie or Mhorag who are hands on owners. The breakfast is really good and the high tea in the evening is fantastic value. We can thoroughly recommend the Ugie...
