I visited L'Auberge Bretonne for a dinner after the New Year with family. It is the sort of experience where everything is put together to make it a fantastic evening!First, the facade is lovely, the welcome warm and the service impeccable. The interiors (including setting and crockery) were simple, elegant and tidy. As for the food, 5 persons, 3 different...

every time a starred chef quits his restaurant, commentators can't help making comparisons with his successor. L'auberge has not avoided the trap. And yet! Accessible prices (38 euros for a very good lunch menu), luscious garden scene from the restaurant, gentle service, great wine list, you will get here a modern cuisine w/o modernized prices. The owner-chef has worked chez...

We stayed for two nights and had pre-booked dinner for our f first night. Dinner was interesting - a range of dishes/combinations we had never tried before. Everything was nicely cooked and the staff were exceptionally helpful and polite. Our rooms were large and comfortable. One had a wet area in the bathroom that had only a hand held shower...

This hotel is a little gem hidden in Brittany. We loved the specious room that looked out over gardens, with a large bathroom, all very clean. Good secure and dry bike storage too. It was really quiet and we slept very well. Fot 85€ it is really good value.

We first stayed at this hotel 4 years ago for one night when travelling down to Cognac on our motorbikes. We found it a great hotel so booked again for our trip down to Saumur again on the bikes. This time we stayed 3 nights in all as we had to return home early due to the petrol crisis. We...

We were somewhat concerned about staying at this auberge having read one or two negative reports on tripadvisor. In fact we found the staff charming as well as the heavily pregnant but very helpful owner who couldn't have done more for us during our brief visit. The room at the top of the house was large and comfortable but maybe...

We arrived in the late afternoon to a reception that was a little cold but feel that this was due to language issues. The room was large and immaculately prepared as was the bathroom and separate. Breakfast was buffet style and included local produce as well as freshly squeezed orange juice.

We stayed one night on our way to the Loire Valley. We made our reservation on Booking.com as we had heard the restaurant had an excellent reputation, and this was our main reason for choosing this hotel. When we checked in (it was a Wednesday) we asked to book a table for 2 in the restaurant but we were told...

We staid at this hotel for one night during a 7 day trip back from Andalucia in Spain. We arrived in the town at 1:40pm on a Sunday and parked outside the hotel. The village was deserted and it had been raining heavily for the previous 4 hours. We walked into reception and were told by the receptionist to come...
