We're a couple on holiday from Warsaw, Poland, we spent two nights in Pointe a Pitre before going to Deshaies. The location is excellent with amazing views from our suite(#14), particularly for sunsets. Christina and Pascal were lovely hosts, friendly and attentive to détails, and available to assist whenever needed. The place is very well maintained and clean. You're a 15mns walk to the fantastic Grande Anse beach(see photo) or to the even closer Rifflet beach. The kitchen is fully equipped and we managed to make a meal or two at home almost every day. There are of course restaurant options available but be careful to check opening times. Easy recommendation to make, we hope to visit again in the future. A.D
Great views and with access to excellent beaches (Grand Anse and La Perle) within 15 min walking or 3 min by car! If you are not a resort-person (like us) this place is excellent for a cozy getaway. The staff is very helpful and welcoming and it is possible to order breakfast and dinner served on a big terrace with views over the Grand Anse cove
There is absolutely nothing you will miss here. We stayed in Gite 14 and it was beautifully decorated and practical. The location is totally dreamy and you are between two of the most beautiful beaches we have ever seen. We couldn't go on exploring more of Guadeloupe simply because we could not get enough of Plage de la perle. There are a few good restaurants within walking distance. Cherry's and PAM were a hit. The beaches were so amazing that there was no time to try out the pool. Customer service was good. Be prepared for night time mosquitos. We will definitely return.
A little gem. The location is great and the vues are fantastic. Christina the owner is lovely and can't do enough for you. Always smiling and happy. The rooms are perfect, with all the facilities you need for a very relaxing holiday. Can't recommend it enough. Having spent 10 nights here, we have had a brilliant time and easily could have stayed here longer. The pool is lovely and clean. Everything about the place us fantastic. Also met Pascale who is Christinas other half and he is great, very friendly. Really can't recommend it enough.
We spent a week in October when it was pretty quiet due to it being low season. Pascal and Christina are really helpful and friendly hosts. The accommodation consists of a number of little appartments/gites built on the side of the hill overlooking the bay. Ours was closer to the sea(Pieds dans l'eau) and afforded a good degree of privacy and peace and quiet with the sound of the waves in the background. The accomodation was clean and reasonably well equipped, including a small kitchen. This appartment was fine for two adults or two adults and maybe two children but would be a bit cosy with 4 adults. There was a nice deck at the side with two sunloungers where we were able to relax and take in the view. There is no restaurant as such although the hosts will provide a continental breakfast on request for ~10euros ea. If you want to avoid self catering there is a good pizza restaurant ~200-300m along the main road(Cherrys) but be sure to take a torch or light your phone as the main road is not lit at night and could be dangerous as there is no sidewalk. There may be a couple of other restaurants in walking distance but all were closed as it was low season for us. It is possible to get a limited menu delivered from one of the restaurants in Deshaie by ordering at reception. The apartments on the main road side could be a bit noisy as they are close to the main road which runs directly alongside the site. There is a very nice pool which has plenty of sun loungers around. Was a little noisy due to the main road. At the lower side of the site there is the sea but no beach. All the sand has been washed away by the recent hurricane. The nearest nice beaches are Grand Anse (6-7 mins by car) and Anse Le Perle (3-4 mins by car). Anse le Perle is one of the locations for 'Death in Paradise'. You really do need a car or you will be a bit stuck. The management offer a pretty good hire car deal with the apartment which we found was well worth it. As another reviewer said, this is not a hotel but does not pretend to be. You will need to bring soap and shampoo and beach towels. Linen and towels will only be changed on request and for an additional fee. There is a good supermarket ~10mins by car. The mosquitos are really bad so do bring some repellent. We found it almost too difficult to sit outside on the decking in the evening. We bought some insect spray for the bedroom although there is a mosquito net if you prefer. Deshaies is the nearest town and is around 10-15min by car, with quite a few restaurants and bars. Overall a good spot to relax/go to the beach/explore the island.…
