Stayed here for just 1 night. Location was great - in a nice village with plenty of charm. Staff were genuinely friendly and helpful. Our room contained all we needed, it was quiet and bed was comfortable. Quite a clean hotel and well maintained, not fancy but also not old or run down. Breakfast was excellent, great selection and very...

This is a little hotel (two floors) with lots of atmosphere to it, both in the main areas and in the rooms. We had a room with a couch and a table, which was nice. Breakfast is very good, as in most Iceland hotels.

I cannot express how disappointed I was when I arrived to my room. Tiny, dark, very old, smelly and unconfortable. The windows need to be replace, the wind come in and the curtains moved all night. It was cold, I sleep in my sleeping bag and polar pyjamas with the heating on max temperature. The staff is really nice, its...

Chose this hotel because of it's links with and closeness to Laki Tours. It was easy to find and we were very impressed with the modern amenities in the room- especially the shower. We had a lovely view from our room across the ocean. Breakfast was perfect for us. Coffee, toast, fresh fruit and yoghurt and plenty of it. Staff...

I stayed here for one night while travelling around Iceland in October. This was my first stop, and I chose it for its proximity to Kirkjufell which I was hoping to get decent pictures of (unfortunately the weather didn't play ball but that's not the hotels' fault!) The rooms are fairly basic- I was on the ground floor in what...

My wife and I stayed for 3 nights in June/July as part of a self-drive tour booked through Discover the World. We had a superb large room, no 202, with windows on two sides giving views of the sea, Kirkjufell and the snowy mountains. Tea and coffee were provided in the room along with free wifi. There is no lift...

The staff at this hotel are fantastic, so accommodating and friendly, I couldn't fault them at all. That said, I feel they were let down by the facilities at the hotel. The radiator in the room was noisy, the tv only had 3 channels (although I don't think many people go there to watch to!) and the walls were paper...

We stayed here 2 nights while visiting the Snaefelleness Peninsula. All the rooms are a bit different, but ours was on the water side, so we had somewhat of a view. The hotel used to be a hostel for fisherman and sits behind some large tanks on the water front. The rooms are basic, but clean and the beds and...

My wife and I stayed here one night. On check-in I asked about a room with a view (as I always do). The receptionist was very friendly and moved u to the top floor with a view over the harbour. It was great! Mind you, the steep stairs means this would not be for everyone! (Though, the staff did offer...

Solid hotel for the price and location. This won't go down as the nicest hotel you'll ever stay at, but the room was decent, the staff are friendly enough and the quaint little town of Grundarfjörður is as nice as can be. Had a small room on the first floor in the main building -- was tidy and had a...
