We travelled from Lugano to St. Moritz by the Bernina Bus and Bernina Train and chose to break the journey at Tirano (where the Bernina Bus terminates). We decided to book the Hotel Bernina based in part on TripAdvisor reviews; we were glad we did....More
Nice hotel, king size bed, about 50 mtrs from the railway station, plenty of bars and cafes close by. Breakfast options were plentiful, but you had to pay extra for a hot breakfast. Interesting little town to walk around if you have time.

I can't remember the exact time, but I know we had an early breakfast, as we were catching a train. They don't provide a cooked breakfast, it's mainly breads and cakes, so you could take some food from the buffet to eat on the train. Also the walk from the hotel to the train is very short, although make sure you know which station you are going from, as there are two stations, next to each other.
