A very nice place, ideal in summer because you can use the swimming pool, but also in the other seasons you can enjoy the farm part with the products made by them. Excellent jams ... But let's go back to the stay ... Large, clean rooms and recently renovated bathrooms welcome us. Excellent value for money. Bookmarked so we can just go back to the area again. I recommend it 100%!

This is our fifth time staying at Villa Ambra, and we couldn't wait to come back. When we arrived Marzio greeted us as if we were long time friends and made us feel like a part of their family. As we found in the past everything meet with our approval. The room was clean and comfortable and the nightly dinners, utilizing Katia's recipes and Rosa's cooking, provided a varied example of the local country cuisine. Because of Villa Ambra's location it allowed numerous day trips to Cortona, Arezzo, Orvieto, Pitigliano, Sorano, Sarteano, Perugia, Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano. During the evening dinners we were able to taste the fine wines of both Marzio and his nephew Andrea's vineyards and because of this we decided to purchase one and a half cases of wine as well as their olive oil which they conveniently shipped home to us in the US. We will always make this hotel a stop on all our future visits.

My husband and I visited the Italian Tuscany for the first time, and after investigating a lot about where to stay near Montepulciano, Pienza and Motalcino we decided to stay at Villa Ambra, it was an EXCELLENT decision !! From the moment we arrived until we left everything in Villa Ambra was perfect. Marzio is a great host, the hotel is perfectly located to visit all these towns that I mentioned. Marzio knows very well what an excellent customer service means. The hotel breakfast was complete and delicious, and the dinner we had at the hotel restaurant was the BEST we had in the 5 days we were in Italy. Without a doubt we can recommend Hotel Villa Ambra to anyone who wants to have a wonderful stay in the area near the historic town of Montepulciano.

We stayed at Villa Ambra for 3 nights, and it exceeded our expectations! Such a lovely family that run this hotel, they cannot do enough for the guests! They took us on a private vineyard tour with wine tasting for only €15pp (as they own a vineyard a stone throw away). The wine is incredible, would 100% say it is a must to do this experience. The food in the evening is basically cooked my mama and a chef, which is so delicious we ate twice at the hotel! Can’t wait to visit again!!!

Villa Ambra is a family run hotel located a short drive from the historic town of Montepulciano in Tuscany. Marzio and family are very friendly and welcomed us to their hotel like we were part of the family. We appreciated that. We arrived on Easter Sunday just in time for a home cooked four course meal. The hotel was charming. The room, however, was clean and comfortable but basic and dated. Our room did have had a nice balcony with a view of the countryside. Although they have a fixed menu for meals, the dishes were varied, numerous, and ample enough to choose among the offerings and have a good meal. The complementary breakfast was standard Italian with pastries, sweets, cereal and did include fried eggs. The family owns a vineyard and provided access to high quality wines and we enjoyed that. We did not have a car for our 4 day stay at the hotel but Marzio went out of his way to arrange for prompt taxi service for us. I would not necessarily recommend staying here if you are not traveling by car but my wife and I had a nice stay and we were glad to have had the experience. All in all, we enjoyed our time with Marzio and family and, if we had a car, would stay here again.
