We admit though the breakfast isn’t great but jam and toast was enough for me in the morning, some people added their own bits to the breakfast from the local shop like musli and different cheeses , but we ate out lunch and tea so it didn’t bother us.
We loved pisaldi , it’s lovely and quiet away from the busy kos town. Lovely tavernas on the beach and the cocktail bar was fab, they were really friendly and the cocktails tasted delicious. We enjoyed our walks into kos every other night so we had a choice of different restaurants , we ate at Petrino in the old town on our last night , wow amazing that is a must go, it’s so pretty and the food was lovely.
We used the beaches in Kos attached to the sun burnet arms , yannis the owner was so helpful and friendly and his food is amazing. You can use his beds for free and he supply’s you with a bottle of free water when you arrive and leave. He s as also gives you a free drink after your meal, we chose Ozo and lemonade lovely. We also used the beach up from the hotel , it has a lovely restaurant attached but is only open to 6 , the food there is gorgeous too and they are really friendly, that beach is a nice quiet beach but you pay a few euros for that one.
We done the 3 island trip on the princess Diana , I could t reckons d the trip enough , what a day. It’s not to packed on the boat but get there a bit earlier so you can reserve the sun mats to sunbathe , we saw dolphins had lovely meal in a restaurant and lots of swimming , that was my best day ever. We also done the turkey trip but would t bother again , queues for passport control were a pain and while the shops were fab you were pestered to a point that it was uncomfortable so was t for me. We hired a quad and went up to the springs and tikigi beach which was paradise.
We have had a amazing time and although have been busy all week we are planning on booking the Alexandra next year and hoping to spend more time on pool days too . It’s just a perfect location out of the busy but you can still access it . You won’t be disappointed.
Location isn't too bad you are on the edge of kos town where restaurants get a bit thin but Cafe Classic is great for cheap drinks and good quality ones too. C Food and Mood is a lovely place for food but a bit expensive. The town is a walk-able distance but in the full heat of day may be bit much for some.
There as a water sports facility 5 minutes from the hotel called atonis or something like that. Not bad prices and a lot of fun
There is a lovely clean pool and plenty of sunbeds. It was extremely hot during our stay and we were thankful for a number of shaded areas around the pool and under the array of stunning trees.
Our studio room had an adequately equipped kitchen area with 2 of everything we needed. We only made lunches, but there was plenty of space to cook a larger meal if you chose. The bathroom was clean and quite spacious, although the shower was a little small. We had a balcony overlooking the local football pitch which was relatively quiet, and whilst it may not have been a pool view it was fun watching early morning and late night footy. There are an abundance of bikes to hire and a cycle path that makes it easy to cycle into Kos town and enjoy all the sights and great restaurants there. Due to the heat we decided to walk iater in the evening, once it was a little cooler, but the bikes were very popular and only 4 euros a day to hire.
We had booked including breakfast. This was fairy basic. But a typical continental breakfast. I think we've all got too used to the all inclusive massive meals! There was bread, rolls and cake. Cereal, yogurt and fruit as well as ham, cheese, tomatoes and boiled eggs. So actually plenty. The fresh Greek yogurt and fruit was fine - although more fresh fruit would have been nice. If you would rather a more substantial breakfast the supermarket across the road offered a wide choice of goods and you could easily make it yourself. In the evenings we ate at the local tavernas on the beach with stunning sunset views across the sea to the coastline of Turkey. It was beautiful. Having travelled to many of the Greek islands this was a first trip to Kos, and I'm already looking at when we can return!
If you are looking for a comfortable hotel within easy reach of the beach, restaurants and then the busier Kos town and harbour then this is perfect. It is not a massive all inclusive resort, with back to back entertainment and activities, more food than can possibly be good for you and lots of fellow Brits. It is a lovely pleasant hotel with a multi- European client base and ideal for our short relaxing break.
Hotel is up a fairly non descript dusty road with some scrubby wasteland at the side. There was some litter present particularly near the main road. Back of the hotel overlooks a car park or a sports club. Psilidi is really just a series of hotels along the main road with beach bars and tavernas on the beach side. There’s a classic Greek mini mart across the road, well stocked and reasonable prices . It was a 25 minute walk to Kos town . Hired bikes from “ safe bikes” promoted at hotel. Bikes were not in great condition and other bike rentals nearby may have been better. Small pebbly beach at the end of the road water was clear and beach was clean. .
Hotel is spotless as was the pool area. Room tidied every day with laundry twice in 7 days. Cleaning ladies smiley and polite . Guests mainly Dutch or German with a very few Brits thrown in . Didn’t book breakfast but it looked nice , dining area spacious and large.
Pool area was lovely , beautiful gardens . No issues with sun loungers, these looked fairly new and which were tidied up every evening. Small outdoor eating area , for drinks and snacks ( gyros was perfect.)
There were no groups of young people and the guests were predominantly older, this may change in the school holidays ? The only criticism to make was that there was music played during the day , volume was fine but one day it was 70s rock , think thin lizzy ! Great for 1 or 2 plays but not all day . We positioned ourselves far enough away but a minor annoyance . If you’re looking for a bit of sun in a clean smaller hotel then this will do you just fine .
Basic 3 star type hotel with small pool and gardens with parking. Bit rough and dirty outside but near to a pebble beach.
Pool got noise at times but we still used it. Didn't eat at the hotel but there was a bar near the pool and a formal restaurant for main meals.
Staff friendly and rooms were cleaned daily and bedding and towels every third day.
Our room was in the main block and up a single flight of stairs. A small lift was available.
Large basic room with a fridge two hobs to cook on, limited stuff to eat with and a kettle for drinks but no tea etc supplied.
Small sofa, table, dressing table and a minute TV. Two single beds and a basic bathroom. Small balcony with a table and car park/wasteland views.
Helpful staff and friendly cleaners but a free aircon that struggled to chill in 30+ temps.
A few restaurants in easy walking distance and shops. Taxi was 42 Euro from the airport. Bus available into town and another airport bus from there for our return.
