I came to the restaurant as a guest of the Vaxjo Diocese for a special meal. And was it special!! I had never tried reindeer before, but it was amazing. Wonderful atmosphere, wine, service... The owner gave us a history of the hotel. Really fantastic.

Slightly quirky mansion in beautiful little park in spectacular nature houses this un-pretentious but worthwhile hotel. Rooms are fairly basic, but food and service top class. Good value. Recommended.

A cozy well-run hotel in the old style with friendly personal service. The dinner (with three dishes) was amazing. We were offered wine package with delicious wines. Nice beds. The breakfast buffé was very good.

For the second time we come to this corner of the world. The hotel is cozy but still needs a bit of upgrading. Could be a bit noisy, but that is unavoidable in a house with guests and children. The good news is that the heart of this hotel is the food. Joakim Rodin, understands in food, in produce, in...

Booked a one night stay fo our annivarsary that included three course dinner. Upon arrival we were served coffe and blueberrycheescake that tasted really nice. The appetizer (salmon) and dessert (creme burlee with rhubarb) was phenomenal. The main course (veal and potatoes) was good, but not outstanding. We bought the recommende wines and they tasted really good together with the...

What a great surprise to find an accommodation like Villa Gransholm in Gemla, Sweden. This is an example of things you wouldn't believe of you had not been there yourself. What an amazing host, what a great cuisinier (not just a cook) and what a fantastic atmosphere: he just wanted us to feel at home. And we certainly did, but...

We had difficulty finding the place which is not in Gemla (or ist it?) but in Öya. The name of the property is not apparent anywhere, not even at the entrance and only because I had seen photos on the website did I recognize the place. This is a family-run place where everybody seems to be working hard at the...

This place is for anybody who seeks something special, not a plain A4-type hotel in Stockholm. At Villa Gransholm you find a special hotel (look at the pictures), in a relaxed atmosphere, a beautiful garden where you can walk and have afternoon-coffee served at small tables, a restaurant with quality that matches most places, unique bedrooms, all the rooms are...

We stayed one night for dinner, enjoying the great park, where coffee was served, the beautiful salons as well as the impressive dinner room. The food was very good, accompanied by a variety of wines and spirits. The service attentive and well informed. The house was old and charming, many original details still in place. The hotel is situated in...
