Excellent location for my friends wedding in Armada Hotel.. Restaurant food fabulous and the staff were so nice.. Our room was so spacious and everything was supplied. Cleanliness was 100% plus the beautiful view from each of the 3 windows .. I would recommend this place and the price was excellent.
We enjoyed a very nice stay in the Coast Lodge. We stayed in one of the suites and was delighted to have a washing machine and tumble dryer. Areas were very clean and the suite was very homely/comfortable. The pizza was very good. Would recommend to others travelling, particularly with children. Staff were very accommodating.
Arrived around 7 in the evening and were promptly shown to our Suite, which was self catering at the rear of the main building. As we began unpacking we discovered both the shower gel and liquid soap in the bathroom were empty . We then discovered a chocolate wrapper and Nintendo Switch SD card on the bedroom floor together. It became apparent the the unit had not been hoovered before our arrival as the main reception/kitchen /dinner floor was also dirty. The windows were also quite dirty, nor did they lock. When we highlighted the the lack of toiletries and the lack of hoovering at breakfast the next morning the issues were immediately fixed. Breakfast for our stays was included and was very good, while dinner was also good. The staff were very attentive and helpful and the location ideal for a peaceful few days away. While the self catering Suite 1, had all the necessities of home it was let down by some tiling missing in the shower, and staining on the grouting. I don't think we would return to Coastal Lodge at their current prices…
The positives: Beautiful location, right over the road from the beach. Suite 2 where we stayed was nice and quiet even though it was behind the main building and restaurant (you didnt get any noise from there). Really comfortable bed. Staff were more than willing to adapt/explore alternatives for breakfast to cater for my gluten free diet. We were accommodated an early check in at no extra cost. Places for improvement: Generally, check in and out felt a bit strange - there isnt a reception as such, so you press a doorbell and wait for someone to come assist. However the wait was never long. Suite 2 needs a bit of TLC: - The grout around the bathroom floor tiles is cracked and broken meaning that some of the floor tiles do move when you stand on them. - The shower doors are a bit temperamental and didnt always open fully - there was a bit of a knack to lifting and sliding the doors but sometimes the gap to get through was quite narrow. - The windows in the kitchen did not lock shut properly. - One of the wardrobe doors was stuck shut, some of the drawers did not have handles and the stand mirror in the bedroom fell apart if you tried to adjust the angle - smaller details but make the difference towards a higher rating. We would return but would probably opt to try one of the rooms inside the main building as these look to be better maintained/more recently refurbished.…
I booked two nights at this lodge based on location and photos. Upon arrival, there was no check in. The staff were very kind and polite, but the ground floor was extremely noisy with music and fried food orders. It felt chaotic. The room looked old and not fresh. For a much lower price, it would be acceptable but absolutely unacceptable given their prices and the situation. The staff refunded one night and we paid for one night although we did not stay.
Stayed here recently with my partner and my sister. Lodge is really well situated just a few minutes walk to the sea which was very convenient. Suite itself was spacious, clean and had everything what we needed. Staff was friendly and helpful. We had dinner which was not great mussels were not fresh, sauce was very watery ,burger was just ok. I would definitely go back there again but I would skip their dinner.
Terrible tasteless fish and chips, the pizza is tasteless. And cutlery is not given, although the good news is that if they make sure you are an Irish quest, you will be distinguished from other nationalities, and you will be served as a real QUEST, which is actually a fundamental thing in other restaurants, but not at this place. The dirty and horrible clothed service staff mostly programmed to do right things especially for the Irish people. As currently presented, we wouldn’t go again and not recommended to others. Fortunately, there are other more correct, quest friendlier places where the food is tastier and the serving is perfect. I mean for everybody from all around the world without discrimination.
Came here with my family . Food was gorgeous, pizza perfectly cooked. Great choice on the menu catering to all dietary needs. Staff were amazing and so friendly, we were served by two young ladies natasha and aoife. Will definitely return.
We stayed here for 1 night, 2 adults, 2 children (ages 6 & 2) check in process was easy and we was able to check in early. Staff very friendly and helpful. Room was massive and very clean. Beds were super comfy, we all had a fantastic nights sleep! Breakfast selection was good, the girls enjoyed fruit and myself and my other half had cooked breakfast, very tasty and all fresh! (View of the Atlantic Ocean whilst eating was also a bonus). Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others thinking about staying here.
Went there 2 days in a row for breakfast. Very nice restaurant with an amazing view over the bay. We’ll decorated, good atmosphere. Very accommodating and professional service for my family. Good Irish breakfast. Thanks a lot!!!
