We booked the night away to just relax & unwind. From the moment we entered the hotel we were met with the friendliest staff. Our bedroom was a large triple room with a view to the side of the ocean we had booked a deal which included prosecco on arrival to our room which was already chilling in the fridge. We had booked dinner in the Pearl restaurant and we were not disappointed. The variety for all courses was really good. We all thoroughly enjoyed our meal. After dinner we retreated to Burkes Bar for a nightcap where we were made feel welcome. The experience of our proximity to the ocean allowed us to fall asleep with the window opened whilst listening to the waves crash. After a restful sleep we went for a gorgeous breakfast. Overall we all rated our stay as 5 star. We would highly recommend.

Hi Nevish, thanks so much for giving us a 5 star rating, our team were delighted to read your review. You made a great choice in booking a side sea view as there is nothing quite as relaxing as falling asleep to the sounds of the ocean, hopefully when you return to us again, you might like to experience one of our seafront rooms or suites as the views are absolutely breathtaking and I feel sure you will really enjoy these gorgeous views. I have passed your compliments on the food you enjoyed for breakfast and dinner onto our team of chefs and they were very happy to get your lovely feedback. Thanks for recommending the Armada to your family and friends, we look forward to welcoming you back to West Clare once the restrictions have been lifted, which will be very soon we all hope here! Keep safe and well, Regards, Frank Minogue

Just back from our overnight stay in the Armada, what an experience. From arrival at reception we were made to feel so welcome, particularly with our mulled wine reception. Room was lovely with lots of little touches. We dined in Johnny Burkes where Aidan there was phenomenal. He advised of the itinerary for the evening and even reserved a table for us in the Atlantic Suite. He simply could not do enough for us. A perfect example of Irish hospitality. Lovely to hear some live music and all social distancing was very much observed. Best hotel stay I had in a long time and I will definitely be returning soon. Thanks to Aidan and all the staff.

Hi Siobhan, Thanks very much for sharing your lovely feedback on your recent stay with us. I am delighted that you received a great West Clare welcome from our team here, Aidan is a great asset to Johnny Burkes and is passionate about the industry, the team there have great local knowledge so be sure to pick their brains on where to visit, what to do and even their favourite whiskeys in Johnny Burkes they won't set you wrong! We are really pleased that you have acknowledged us as the best hotel you have stayed in of recent times and that you are already planning another visit, your review is hugely encouraging for all the team here particularly with all the extra protocals we have had to put in place with Covid 19, so again thank you for writing such a positive review. Looking forward to welcoming you back soon again. Regards, Frank Minogue

Due to our current restrictions we decided to book The Armada as a little pre Christmas treat and we were not disappointed, from our 1st encounter with Grainne at reception who couldn’t do enough to ensure our stay was flawless, our room was perfect with a lovely personal note welcoming us with unexpected treats. Dinner in the Pearl Restaurant was gorgeous, food was so tasty and made even nicer as we had the lovely Ashling attending to our every request and there were a few 😉 also special mention for Aidan our wonderful bar man who very patiently ensured we were rehydrated at all times and made us feel very much at home. Morning after we had a bracing walk along the coast followed by a gorgeous breakfast with all the trimmings great end to a perfect stay. We will return ❤️
