Great location if you like the ocean, watching the waves roll in was very relaxing. Absolutely amazing food, it was the highlight of our stay. Really friendly and accommodating staff. What a great hotel to stay in on the west coast of Ireland.
From start to finish the customer care , service and experience was exceptional. Wonderful hotel. Friendly and extremely help staff, great atmosphere, fantastic food and a stunning location. Very high standards but yet homely and very welcoming. We will definitely return
Attended a family wedding over 2 days. The room was spacious -I didn’t have a sea view but others attending raved about it-the sea was angry! Try and get a sea view room. Bar (Tony) and the young staff were very attentive. Defo worth a visit and take your swimmers for the traditional dip in the Atlantic. Will be back.
My husband and I along with our daughters, partners and our family from Canada spent two nights at the Armada Hotel in Spanish Point, Co. Clare. The hotel location is unbelievable, sitting at the edge of the Atlantic. Food was delicious, staff very friendly, cocktail bar unreal. The bedrooms were beautifully appointed. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended.
Hi there, Just wanted to give credit where’s its due. We had a wonderful meal in the Ocean Bar and having the separate room was just perfect! The service was A1 and the food was beautiful! I’m a huge fan of the Armada from staying there in the Summer, and I think there may a few more after our perfect evening on the 28th December. Thank you everyone!
Had a very enjoyable family gathering recently celebrating 2 birthdays. In summary, the food, service and friendliness of the staff were all very good., and all the family really enjoyed the occasion. That said, there is some room for improvement. 1. Incorrect coffee served with our initial drinks, Americano instead of Cappuccino. 2. A craft beer that apparently had passed it's sell by date and was undrinkable was served. 3. Two after lunch Cappuccino coffees were served cold. These were all quickly corrected. However, the thing that disappointed most was the prawn cocktail starters. These were charged at €14 each and contained 4 prawns ( 3 small and one larger) on a bed of lettuce with very scant sauce. I have never experienced such poor value from any other restaurant I ever visited and could not find any reason to justify this. So my advice is to avoid the prawn cocktails as there are other starters on the menu that are much better value. In conclusion, other than the points raised above, The food overall was really very good, the fish in particular was excellent. The negatives raised in my review are all easily correctable and I am sure will be addressed by Management to further improve an overall good experience.…
We had our Xmas party in Aileen’s with pre-party cocktails in the Ocean Bar. From the time we arrived we were made welcome by Niall OHanlon, cocktails expertly made by Neil and Callum 🍸🍸. The Ocean Bar gives you a NY feel in west Clare. Our meal in Aileen’s is the best of fine dining made by chef Sebastian and our great waiting staff Cillian and Alejandro 😊. A final round of drinks in Johnny Burke’s with Eanna and a small chat with George. One of the best nights in a long while.
Wonderful Hotel! Enjoyed a two night stay for a wedding. Fantastic food. Excellent service. Rooms with a view were gorgeous - well appointed. Our friends were in a family room and it came supplied with toys to keep the kids entertained. Great hotel - made the wedding even more special. Will gladly come back for a couples weekend, golf, or a drink.
I spent three days with my wife & three kids (13, 11 & 6) in the Armada hotel last week and I absolutely could not fault it. The hotel is exceptional and very welcoming but the staff are utterly superb. The hospitality is evident in all the staff and very genuine. From the management, to Shane at the desk, Fiona in the restaurant each morning and Gerry in the Bar. We will be booking again for next year. Highly recommend it to anyone seeking a break away from the normal pace of life. John B.
A warm welcome as soon as you step through the doors. Bedrooms are very well appointed (including record player with a selection of LP's and a selection of books to read). Cosy bar with an amazing selection of whiskey). Views to die for. Highly recommended this hotel
