We stayed here for one night recently. The house itself is amazing and it has a great history. It is beautifully decorated and our bedroom was large and comfortable.

Dinner was in Aileen’s in the adjacent hotel. Everything we ordered was delicious (mainly seafood) and the staff were great. The view from the property over Spanish Point beach is unmatched.

We had breakfast in the House the following morning and again it was really really good… lovely tasting bits, nice hot food, a beautiful dining room, attentive staff and a loaf of brown bread on leaving.

I have stayed in lots of country houses and I couldn’t recommend this one more. From the lemongrass and cedar wood scented diffusers throughout, to the matching soaps and shampoos, the understated music in the reading rooms to the hospitable staff….. everything was top class. It is a bit more expensive than a hotel stay, but also excellent value for what we got. We will be back… thanks.

My mother, sister and I enjoyed a wonderful 3 days staycation in Spanish Point House in September 2020.

Even before we arrived, we received 5 star treatment. Caoilfhionn called me in advance of our stay to see if she could help make a dinner reservation at any of the nearby restaurants and was able to secure a table for us at the amazing Barr Trá at sunset and taxi to bring us there.

As a group of 3, we were given a large spacious and extremely comfortable (and spotless) room with 3 single beds which was perfect for us.

Breakfast was excellent and every single member of staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome and well looked after. We loved being so close to the Spanish Point beach and were able to go for a morning swim before coming back to enjoy a leisurely breakfast with plenty of extra tea and toast while reading the papers and admiring the spectacular view.

We had planned to get dinner across the road at the Armada hotel one evening but due to Covid restrictions, we couldn't get a reservation and the fantastic staff of the Spanish Point House set up a table for us in the dining room where we were able to enjoy a bottle of wine and cheeseboard from the local Supervalu!

5 star hospitality and service without a doubt. We are already looking forward to another stay next summer.

Valerie, Mary & Irene.

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights at the end of July and had a wonderful time. The staff and owners couldn’t do enough for us, from making dinner reservations to recommending places to visit and where to park at the Cliffs of Moher. The personal touch really sets Spanish Point House apart from other hotels. The guest house is beautifully decorated and furnished - we stayed in one of the courtyard rooms and while it isn’t huge it had everything we needed. The bed was really comfortable and the shower had great pressure. Complimentary tea and coffee is available from reception, we always chose to enjoy it in the lounge, however they will also bring it to your room if you would prefer. Breakfast was beautiful with quality local produce. We will not hesitate to return - one of the best hotels we have ever stayed in!

We love to stay in country houses rather than hotels and The Armada House (previously Spanish Point House) is a typical old fashioned country house with all the charm and service long forgotten in modern hotels. It's a haven of quietness and calm within a short drive of places to visit such as the Cliffs of Moher. The breakfast is excellent and varied with tea and coffee available when you return from a trip during the day. All the staff were friendly and very helpful. A definite place to return to.

Spanish Point House is a beautifully modernised and restored house with elegant furnishings that are in keeping with its character. The history of the house is a fascinating story in itself, do ask! Complimentary tea and coffee on our arrival was very welcome. The staff are warm and welcoming and do everything to make your stay comfortable. Our room was large and comfortable and breakfast the following morning was freshly cooked and excellent. It is very close to the beach and there are many nearby restaurants for dinner. Altogether an exceptional B & B.

Just returned from our night away in the beautiful Spanish Point House. This is a great location for a peaceful couples or friends getaway. We were welcomed on arrival by the very friendly staff member Caoileann. The rooms were spotless and spacious. A large selection was available for breakfast with something for everyone. The breakfast was fresh and of a very high standard. We later found out that the bread was home made by the owner’s mother. There are no tea/coffee facilities in the rooms, however tea/coffee is available to order from reception at any time. I rang reception when I woke in the morning for a cup of coffee, which was lovely to have in bed! There is no restaurant in the house so we had dinner across the road in the Armada Hotel. This was perfect as we could talk to and from without a taxi, not to mention the food was delicious😋. The house is located just off the beach along The Wild Atlantic Way, surrounded by lots of facilities such as cafe/bistro, gold club and neighbouring hotels. Therefore there’s plenty of choice for dinner. It’s a 5 minute drive from Miltown Malbay and 15 minute drive from Lahinch. We would highly recommend this luxury guest house to anyone looking for a luxurious staycation or a peaceful night away. The only critique I was would have is that the wine bar could be better stocked. There is not a large variety of drinks to choose from and when I ordered a glass of Prosecco, I was told it was out of stock. Other than that, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!😊

Thank you for your warm hearted review, Aine. We appreciate you taking the time. We are delighted to hear that you, Sharon & Dermot enjoyed your time here with us. Our apologies that you were disappointed with our drinks selection. Due to being a small guest house with a wine licence rather than a full bar, we would only have a small selection of wines. While we have quarter bottles of red & white wine, the prosecco we stock is sold only by the 70cl bottle. I am glad that you got to experience the gorgeous surroundings of the area and hope we get the opportunity to host you again in the not too distant future. - Pat, Aoife, Riain & All the Team at Spanish Point House

Myself and my wife stayed in Spanish Point House this Summer. Without doubt, one of the best and most elegant breaks we have had. The staff went out of their way to ensure everything was perfect. It is a stone throw to the beach and we were able to relax in the dining rooms watching the waves crash. The breakfast was superb with table service. All round a 5 star experience.

Went to the Spanish Point House fir Valentine's weekend, and it was just amazing.
We were greeted by Nial, the manager with a very warm welcome of champagne and chocolates 🍫.
Our room had a fantastic view of the sea and the room was just luxurious, so beautifully refurbished and so bright. There was large copper tub, and separate bathroom ensuite with walk in spiralling the fittings were antique style.
You wouldn't want to leave it .
Our meal which i celebrated with Susan was exceptional. Compliments to the chef.
A big thank you to all the team, Hailey Frank and Daniel also Kitty at breakfast in the Armada house and also Neil 😊 fantastic weekend 😀 Thank you so much to all

Delicious breakfast to order each morning. Tea and coffee are served in your room or the drawing rooms, accompanied with lovely homemade cookies.
