I was a little worried at staying at this hotel as there were very few recent English reviews before we left (although this does see to have changed now!) I think the main thing about this hotel that alot of people are forgetting is that it is a three star Greek hotel.... not a five star in the Carribean!!! When we looked it was also one of the cheapest on the TUI website.....! We flew out with TUI on a Tuesday and arrvied at the hotel at about 10.45pm. We were the only people being dropped off at this hotel (always a little worrying!!) The woman at reception was lovely. We were asked to sign a COVID waiver basically stating if we got COVID whilst staying at the hotel it wasn't the hotels fault. We were given our room key and a map with guidaiance on how to find our room. We also paid our room tax at check in (1.5 euro per night per room) and were told about the safe costs (three euro per night) and the pool towels (ten euro deposit per towel which you got back when you returned the towels.) We made our way to the room which was near the larger main pool and pool bar. We had paid for a superior room which was pretty modern (just because that was what was left when we booked.) Room, balcony and bathroom were all a good size. Two single beds pushed together. Room was clean, plenty of storage and towels. Fridge provided and air con was good (although a little noisy.) We had been given some sandwhiches, fruit, biscuits and water when we arrived which were all lovely. The room was cleaned daily with fresh towels and sheets all but two days we were there. The bed was comfy. Shower was powerful but does have a shower curtain that likes to stick to you! We had no problems with the room at all. After we had unpacked we decided to go to the main pool bar for a drink. The all inclusive finished at 11pm and the bar closes at 12pm, both of which we were aware of before arriving. We bought two bottles of Mythos which were 3.5 euro each but they were the big bottles and freezing cold, very much appreciated after a long journey! At midnight they close the bar and turn off all the lights around the bar so if you stay later than midnight you are in the dark! The food in the restaurant was fine. We always found something to eat and found that there was a reasonable choice. At breakfast there was a cooking station with pancakes, waffles and fried eggs. Plenty of fresh and tinned fruit. Yoghurts, cereal and cooked options. There was only one toaster so I understand the frustration with this, but honestly I am not a toast person so this didnt bother me! Plenty of options at lunch and dinner but would have been nice to have another cooking station at these times. Some of the food was repeative and not piping hot but I always found it tasty. The staff in the resteraunt were friendly and cleaned plates quickly. There was a help yourself drink station with fizzy drinks, beer, water, red/white/rose wine. Also drinks machine with coffee/ hot water and plenty of tea bag options. I will say if your kids live off chicken nuggets and chips this is not the hotel for you. There were pasta options every meal and other things but depending on your children the food might not be for them. The hotel had two bars. The larger one at the main pool bar served all inclusive and other (payable) options and the second one at the smaller pool which was just all inclusive. We spent most of time at the smaller one and the woman who worked there is a credit to this hotel. So friendly, always smiling and always helpful. The amount of drinks on all inclusive is small. Red/rose/ white wine, beer, fizzy drinks, rum, brandy and ouzo. I can understand why this bothers people, but it didnt bother me as I am a beer/ wine drinker. There is also a little shop by the smaller pool which has lots of snacks/ drinks at good prices. I honestly didnt like the coke on the all inclusive but I am so fussy and will only drink coke zero which was 0.8euro in the shop! The location of this hotel is great for Tigaki and the beach. We went to Kingsize Beach Bar several times and this was wonderful. So many lovely bars and restaurants nearby and we ate out a few times whilst there. We also tended to go out for a few drinks on an evening (hotel entertainment isnt for us!) The Hammam spa down the road is also a must visit. All in all for the price we paid I was more than happy with the hotel.

This is our second time here and we stayed here for 10 days. We arrived at around midnight and the hotel provided a packed lunch for each of us which was a lovely surprise! The hotel is in such a great location, just a couple of mins from the Main Street and 5 mins to the beach. We had a great holiday, lovely pool areas and great rooms that are cleaned every day. A real big thanks to the staff Andi, Luli and Mario, they really made our holiday. Great service from them as always, they really do look after you and have a laugh! It wouldn’t be the same without them there! The only thing that let the hotel down is the food as it’s very repetitive and just isn’t the best so we did end up eating out quite a few nights. I also have to mention the rude bar manager as well who works the evening shift, he really let’s the hotel down with his rude manners and attitude. He would be a big reason for us to not return to this hotel and it’s a shame because the rest of the bar staff are so helpful.

Waited long enough for this holiday , I love Tigaki having previously visited ( self catering) thought we’d go all inc, what a mistake that was!! Although room was ok bar and food were not, everything was always cold and repeated every day with maybe one change in main , staff were ok if maybe a little quick to take plates, choices at bar were fine if you wanted to pay! The choice on all inc was rubbish, we drank out and ate out on the strip ( fab cocktail bars) , location wise hotel was fine 5 min walk to town centre or to beach, I would visit Tigaki again ( I love it) definitely not to Gaia village hotel tho

I visit this place for 7 nights with my wife and another couple. We had a very large room with fridge and lovely balcony area as it was and end room. The place was clean and tidy. The cleaners came in every day and room was spotless when we returned each afternoon. There was 2 pool areas one had a shallow pool and was meant for kids I'd say however all the kids where at the other pool area where the main bar was, not a major issue as the other pool was bigger and the main bar was also bigger and it was next to the resurant. This leads me to the food, this was so disappointing as I had normally visited Turkey and it was our first visit, this was very poor, very much German based foods. The drinks being all inclusive I would have thought a vodka option would be on the list but again the drinks where pretty poor with very limited options. We eat out every night after our forest meal and also eat breakfasts out as it was so poor, they had eggs etc and the odd bit of bacon but a toaster which was ridiculous it took 15 mins for it to brown and off course the que was huge as people wanted some toast. We eat all over the island and had quads and the place is amazing, 100 % will visit Kos again but will try a different hotel
