Spent 15 nights here, first time to Kos and chose the most relaxing place, firstly the Family, Christos, Daphne, Elia (maybe not correct spelling) and the rest of the staff, not forgetting May, so welcoming and kind. The hotel/apartments, spotlessly clean, beautiful gardens, good food, and the only surrounding noise of cicadas, cockerels, chickens, turkeys, but only 10mins from the main road bars, tavernas, shops. If you love sky football, partying, boozy nights, don't stay here, but if you like peace, calm, relaxing jn the sun or shade with a book & drinks, it's perfect, real Greece not postcard Greece.
We've not long returned from a great break away at the Mayflower. A very relaxing time was had by all. Great location and well looked after by the whole welcoming family who work there. The Pros - the staff are so friendly. The great swimming pool and lovely bar/ eating area with great food. Pool tables and ping pong to entertain the kids. Never a problem getting a sun bed/parasol and its in a quiet location yet close to the shops/bars/restaurants. The apartments are a great size The cons - not much to find fault with but there is a very basic self catering provision, shower area v cramped and 15 euro per night for air con which to me is a must during the hot summer nights. Overall we had a great time away and i can see why so many folk we met return on a regular basis.
Fantastic holiday-first time at Mayflower apts,Tigaki,Kos. Spotlessly clean, well maintained, large pool, mountain or pool views.warm welcome from Kristos and Elia who were quick to sort any problems.Food good.20 mins from beach,7 min from supermarket and about 10 min from bakery.lots of restaurants and cocktail bars nearby.Seem to be many repeat holiday makers to the Mayflower so that says it all. We absolutely loved the Mayflower. Excellent!
Wow what a beautiful surprise.if you’re looking for a relaxing peaceful location but Only a short walk to the bars and restaurants look no further, great pool and Kristos and his family can’t do enough for you.it’s no surprise most of the people you meet are returning customers which we will be in the future Highly recommend.we had room 204 with a view over the mountain.
So glad to go back to our little greek family again this year... After our 2 Yr covid break.. A Lovely family who can't do enough to make your stay like home from home Lovely little apartments that's are throughly cleaned everyday by the lovely friendly maids ... The food is excellent and always presented with a loving smile .. the pool is lovely, always plenty of beds to relax and chill around this quiet laid back little place It was our 4th time here myself, my husband and 3 children... we absolutely love it here.. we wouldn't go anywhere else now.. I cry when we have to leave.. we booked to go back next year the day after we got home 🥰
We stand here for a week but wish we had booked two . Nice warm welcome on arrival, very cheerful. Lovely big swimming pool, lots of sun bed but wish they stop people putting towels down early in the morning and not use the beds until sometime in the afternoon. Rooms were lovely and kept clean but some lovely ladies . We had a one bedroom apartment 302 in the older part which was nice and quiet and was over looking the road which was very quiet. Towels changed every other day and bedding weekly. Worth getting the air con . Lovely garden and well looked after with some beautiful plants .we ate breakfast one morning, scrambled eggs and toast it was enough on my plate for two people, lovely and tasty. Super market on main road is well stocked , bus stop just outside of it takes you to Kos town about €8.40 for the two return.. There is a bakery near by too . Plenty of bars and restaurants a nice 10 minute walk away . We liked Cosy bar for an afternoon drink . The kitchen is a great place for a meal , very theatrical display when it's dished up but very good , also 7 days Mamas cooking does good tapas . Definitely be back…
Wow! Set in the countryside but within 5/15 mins of a huge supermarket and restaurants. Pool closes @ 19.30 and the bar @ ) 01.30. Pool area is fab. Air con now 15 Euros pn. but well worth it. 5 star!
This was our second time of visiting Kos and the first time that we have stayed at the Mayflower , it definitely will not be the last. The owners and staff are absolutely lovely. From the moment we arrived we felt welcomed and they were very patient as we practiced our Greek! We have visited many of the Greek Islands and have stayed in a variety of places but the Mayflower was one of the nicest , cleanest and well run. The apartments are well appointed. We booked two rooms to accommodate a family of four adults. (Our children are 20 and 18). One had the mountain view and the other room had the pool view. Absolutely immaculate rooms, frequent towel and bed linen changes. On arrival we decided to pay for one safe and air con for both the apartments for the week we were there and it came to just over 200 Euros. We were expecting it to be around that figure from our previous travels. Be aware that the Greek Government also requires a tourist levy that was about 10 Euros for each room. I think this may vary from Island to Island. I would strongly recommend the air con - temperatures were unusually high when we were there and the night temperature didn't dip below the high 20's. The pristine and highly maintained swimming pool is open from 8am-7.30pm and food is served for a similar time. There is a large main pool and a little baby area attached. There was a decent variety of food on the menu and it was delicious. We walked into the town each evening and a slow stroll was about 20 minutes. The beach is at the end of the main street. We would walk back from town at night , have a drink from the bar and play cards or have a game of Pool (there are two tables) plus there is table tennis , a well stocked book case with a variety of books to borrow or you can just chat with whoever is working at the bar or fellow guests. This is the perfect place to just stop, unwind , relax and have fun. Cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks to Christos and family for making us so welcome.…
What a delightful apartment complex. Christos and his staff are so friendly and attentive, nothing is too much trouble. The pool area is really attractive and quiet, always a spare sunbed, and like the rest of the complex, spotlessly clean. Perhaps it is no surprise that most of the guests were repeat customers.
This was our 3rd visit to the Mayflower Apartments and it was perfect. We stayed for two weeks this time and had the most relaxing holiday. We had a large apartment room 108 and it had a separate lounge area with 2 sofas and a dining table. We had two balconies and we had a pool view. The room was cleaned every day and towels changed every 2 days. The pool was lovely and large and never over busy. There are more than enough sun beds to go round. The Mayflower is spotlessly clean. We ate lunch most days at the hotel and it was always wonderful. Cooked by the lovely Debbie. There are many wonderful restaurants within walking distance 10-15 mins away. We never had a bad meal whilst we were there. The family Elia and Christos are so lovely and welcoming. We spent many a night chatting at the bar with Christos and had great fun winding him up on occasion. He has a great sense of humour. We met some amazing people whilst we were there and hope to see them again. As we sat on our last morning having a lovely cooked breakfast we decided we loved it so much that before we left we booked to go again next June. It really is a little piece of paradise.…
