INNKEEPER’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 29 May 2016 via mobile

The hotel is in an old restored forge in a very small village in the heart of the Loire region. The owners Patricia and Danny, receive you with a warm welcome and cold wine, when they give you a full detailed explanation of the place, the amenities and the region. Danny is very knowledgeable about the castles, particularly about old...

We stayed four nights at La Marechalerie. Danny and Patricia are excellent hosts. Anyone wanting to start up a BnB anywhere in the world should stay for a while at La Marechalerie to learn how to do it properly. Not only is it very comfortable, but it is the best equipped of any that we have stayed in, especially in...

We are a Franco-American couple living in the USA who have stayed many times at La Maréchalerie at all seasons of the year. Our favorite moments are their 5-day 'Réveillon du Nouvel An' (New Year's Celebration) and the excursions organized by Danny. We have always had an exceptional stay at this lovely table d' hôtes--spotlessly clean rooms with many thoughtful...

Having spent 3 nights here in 2013, we just had to return, this year! Arriving on a Saturday meant that we could enjoy Dinner, with our Hosts and the other Guests (a mix of French and British) and enjoy it we did!! In addition to Patricia's lovely Food, Danny plied us with Local Wine and for afters, beautifully crafted Liqueurs,...

We stayed for 6 days at La Marechalerie. It was perfect. The first day we were friendly welcomed by the host Danny. He gave us a map with routes and nice trips in the region. Every morning he asked us what our plan for the day was and he gave us interesting tips. Patricia welcomed us every morning for breakfast....

The hosts, Danny and Patricia will make sure you are able to experience the best of the Loire Valley. We spent 3 nights here. Since it was in January we were the only guests. From the moment you arrive you will know that you will be well taken care of. Danny will hand you his very complete guide to exploring...

We spent a couple of days here to be within a few hours travel of the ferries on our return from holiday. We were pleased with our choice, particularly as we arrived on a Saturday afternoon. On a Saturday evening, the hosts prepare a typical, traditional three course French meal, complete with apperitifs, wine and coffee for 15 Euros! The...

A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful area. The hosts - Danny and Patricia - are wonderful characters and a goldmine of information whose knowledge of the Loire and experience in hospitality alone makes it worth staying here. The Saturday night dinner cooked by Danny and Patricia themselves was a highlight of our trip and should not be missed.

This is wonderful and charming place! We really were in the village of France . Clean air, beautiful views. This place near to Chateaux of the Loire, about 20-30 minutes by car. The owners are very hospitable, fine people. We did not expect so warm reception! The breakfast is easy but very tasty. A lot of jams were prepared by...

This is our 3rd stay (previously we stopped for 1 night in March 2013 and liked it so much we stayed for 2 nights on our return leg of our vacation) This is a great place to relax - warmly welcomed by Patricia and Danny - with a chat over a glass of wine. We made use of the cooking...
