We had a lovely one night stay in this hotel. I’d emailed in advance to say that we’re all vegan and the hotel was well prepared for our breakfast- providing dairy free milk, spread and vegan sausages. We used the gym and pool and everything was Our room was very spacious and was clean. As other reviews have said, it is a bit dated, but this doesn’t put us off, and we would stay here again.
This is purely a pitch and putt golf review, nothing to do with the venue or the actual 18 hole course which look amazing by the way. It's a joke, not worth playing at all at the minute. We played last year and the greens and fairways and greens were fantastic, today's visit though was a stark contrast, the "fairways" were the equivalent of light roughs and the greens were badly kept to the point one of them in particular was like light rough as well. I won't be returning until I find out from verified sources that this has been remedied, regardless of what we paid this wasn't acceptable.
My brother and I played on the Pitch and Put, just to practice our short game. The 9 holes were in terrible condition, first time I've nearly lost a ball on the fairway. Whole course was in a mess. Would not recommend and will not return. Best left to kids with footballs.
3 day golf trip. Staff were very attentive making all efforts to make stay a good one. Menus, services were restricted due to C19 but still great value for money. The golf courses were in great shape. Two criticisms were too much water on the Wensum (joke) but on the valley the fringes felt too receptive pitched in and ball would stop dead without any roll out but apparently they have installed a new irrigation system and it maybe due to this. Otherwise played 4 rounds over 3 days with great enjoyment. Experience enhanced by the freindlyness of the members, fantastic staff team and great location. Would highly recommend, seriously looking into a return visit . Thank you:)
Well, just returned from our yearly golf trip, this year it was to Wensum valley Hotel and golf club, we never expected to be doing this this year but thanks to the gov. And all the staff at Wensum we managed to have a successful 3 nights away. Strict regulations were put in place by the Hotel, which never deterred from the fun we had before or after the 4 rounds golf we had, first off we turned up at reception book in, instead of sharing they allocated us all rooms to ourselves singularly (as we were the only ones staying in the hotel it wasn’t a problem) The bar and restaurant had had some changes put in place, you’ll see in the photos social distance was put in place. I Person at the bar guided walk way and preferably payment by card but cash was also accepted. As we were…
