Me and my boyfriend stayed here yesterday (15/8/2020) and very disappointed with the lack of customer service skills with all your staff, starting with the receptionist not very welcoming at all was more interested in taking our money for the room and didn't seem interested in serving us. The rooms are spacious but definitely need a revamp throughout the whole hotel very outdated. We phoned up a few days before our arrival to check if the swimming pool, sauna and steam rooms were open and if we have to pre-book a slot for this which a lady we spoke to on the phone advised us everything was open and we get a hour slot on our own due to Covid19 only 1 household are allowed in the leisure centre at a time. When we went into the swimming pool another 6 separate households turned up

been coming for approx the last 4 weeks for the odd few days each time, , and before lockdown fully eased they were good at covid secure approach to food and service, but now it is all a bit sloppy , some food served on trays some not ,some with a tea towel to protect the plate some not , sometimes cutlery handed over with sachets of sources , sometimes not , sometimes at the bar tap through the screen sometimes not , no obvious continual covid cleaning regime during the evening , waiting on staff in the evening helpful but no sense of customer comes 1st service, rather chat to their colleagues than pick up empty plates and glasses , one evening i had to wait 1 hour 45 mins for bar food of fish and chips, it was the 1st day of the govt £10 off deal , so we’re probably

We were booked to stay here for 2 nights (during a heatwave) and I can honestly say as we drove up my heart sank. It looked like a social club from the 1980s. Not much better inside but consoled ourselves that the rooms were probably nice once you were in them. Oh dear....how wrong were we! As we trundled along the stifflingly hot corridor, which resembled a care home we were becoming more concerned. Once we arrived at our room, opened the door I could not believe what I was seeing. Firstly I spotted a fan by the first bed and started to panic! No AC. We then looked into the bathroom and OMG, it was reminiscent of a hospital bathroom from circa 15 years ago. Dreadful. The toilet barely flushed, the light was dull and dinghy and it smelt. The carpet in the room was tired and

All staff were great, super helpful, friendly and Covid aware. Room was spacious and clean. Food was lovely but breakfast overpriced, bar and restaurant food was lovely and reasonably priced, great kids menu. Walls and floors are very thin so could hear everyone’s movements and convos, one window in room so no air flow if you’re going when there’s hot weather. Possibly a fan might of helped. Didn’t sleep well due to heat and noise (our window faced out onto a courtyard and with the heat we’d all got windows open so the sound was understandably amplified but you shouldn’t hear convos as if they’re in your room and kettle getting switched during the night, walls way too thin) TV’s are tiny so hard to watch from other side of room. Great location for Norwich and coast.
