Begadang means "To Stay Up All Night Talking" in Indonesian. Come join us on the Sunset side of beautiful Gili Air for a swim in our unique mushroom pool and drink in our bar. We are just 1 minute walk to the beach where the sun sets. We care deeply about using natural building materials, so all our buildings are made only with wood, bamboo and stone.

We initially chose Begadang as a hotel, because it was the cheapest option on the island on Airbnb. Turns out all the long term expats come here, because its just an amazing, chill and social place to hang out. The food is so good that I had troubles convincing myself to explore other restaurants on the island. I can honestly recommend Begadang as a hotel and a restaurant.

One of my favourite places on Gili Air! From the food to the bar, the sports days and good vibes. Begadang is one of my favourite places to chill on Gili Air. They have awesome and reasonably priced accommodation available, situated over-looking their famous mushroom pool. The owners are super hospitable and present and the staff are so friendly. Another epic thing about this haven is that the service is fast and they offer delivery for those of you who don't want to leave the comforts of your accommodation. If you're hungry and want amazing size portions, I would highly recommend this place! Thank you Begadang for never disappointing!

Second time staying at Begadang because we loved it so much the first time. The place is beautiful and works perfectly as both a base for people wanting to venture out, and a place to spend time relaxing, playing games, swimming, getting massages, or even working etc. The food is delicious, every single thing we tried from the menu was on point and it's all incredibly good value - as are the accommodations themselves which they have a range of options for depending on your budget and requirements. The staff are absolutely lovely! Really friendly, inclusive and accommodating. This is definitely going to be somewhere we come back to time and time again!

It’s my first time visiting Gili Air. I sent to this restaurant due to I saw many good comments about it. However, the food is so and so and the service too! I ordered Sichuan spicy chicken which isn’t authentic. They didn’t put mala in the dish. On the other hand, it seems they don’t really want to serve as it’s late for lunch…

Everytime i go to begadang i just love being there and i found one of my favourite vegan curry's there. The staff is very helpful, always trying their best to make you happy and serving you. We had nice movie nights there, had lots of fun and laughter and everytime im going there i just feel like im entering beautiful community with loving people. Thank you for letting me feeling home there on Gili Air.
