Highly commended! The staff, including Shahin, Asnan and ‘Boy’, were extremely friendly and helpful. We were made to feel like VIPs, nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in one of the Scallywag’s Rumah Dua bungalows and our friends in the other. It was perfect...More

We had originally booked into the Mango retreat which is about 5minutes walk from the beach. Unfortunately this was shut due to damage after the recent earthquake. We were upgraded to one of their beach bungalows - absolutely amazing!

There are plenty of plus points, it’s a nice room, the staff are pleasant and helpful, the beach location for breakfast is nice. However, the property is located close to the mosque and the call to prayers is broadcast through a loud and distorted PA...More

Thanks for your answers. I ended up taking a taxi from the airport to Bangsal for 250,000 rupiah and then took the fast boat to the island and walked to Scallywags. On the way back, I took the public boat and then a taxi back to the airport (same driver as on the way there) and it was smooth and easy.
We reserved the bicycles when we got to the island, but I am sure that if you email them up front they will try to arrange.
Laundry wise, I don’t know, but I would just ask via email together with the bikes.
