Firstly, we conceived a delicate cluster of Javanese inspired havens, rare to find on the Gili islands yet full of Indonesian spirit. And then we named them Rimba Villas. Sequestered in the north west corner of Gili Air, their serene, private setting inspires nothing but pure relaxation. We spent 4 nights in Surya (the 1-bedroom villa) in July 22 and we had the most incredible stay. The cleanliness of the villa, pool and garden area was exceptional, the cleanest place we stayed throughout our stay in Indonesia. The garden area and villa have been designed very tastefully with the perfectly manicured garden giving serious tropical vibes. The staff were very accommodating and friendly, and all in all, we were very sad to be leaving. The location is on the north west side of the island which is furthest from the harbour. It’s about a 20 minute walk to reach the villas, but only a 5 minute walk to the beaches on the west coast which we think are the nicest. It’s also the sunset side with lots of great places to drink, eat, and watch the beautiful sunset. Some of the walkways in the middle of the island can be very dark at night so definitely bring a torch with you, but the walk way to Rimba is perfectly lit with beautiful lighting. We often ate at Mama Pizza or Lumbung and chose to walk back along the beach. If you’re looking to scuba dive then Blue Marlin dive school is a 5 minute walk away. We dived with them on multiple occasions during our stay and would highly recommend them. I’ve been there from June 10th to June 14th with my wife and 3 other friends. My wife and I plus one friend stayed in villa Kayu and it was simply an amazing - relaxing stay thanks of course to Titi and the whole Rimba Villas’ Team member. Villa kayu and its garden with private pool and open kitchen is ideal for a 2 couple or even friends together - quite big space outside and all rooms plus their bathroom simply great from a design and functionality as well. Two aspects that made me so happy about this experience: * team is orienting on proving an outstanding customer service throughout their smile, their warm welcome and of course efficiency * design and villa’s structure is really unique to find anywhere Congratulations and will see you for sure soon

I strongly recommend Rimba Villas for a 3/4 night stay. Never received such a warm and detailed customer oriented service. My husband and I were staying in the one bedroom villa and the design is gorgeous as well as level of cleanliness. If you plan to go to Gili Air for sure you need enjoy Rimba Villas!

Titi, Valerio and the staff took care of us so well and arranged everything for us. I still think about jumping into the cool pool after a full sweaty day of being at the beach and walking the island. Oh yes and the beds are really good - I slept so well!

I stayed in the 1-bedroom villa for a couple of months during the pandemic. I absolutely loved it! Private pool and a peaceful lovely garden. It’s on the quiet side of the island which means no noice but you are still close to the beach and various restaurants. Thanks for a great stay! I will definitely be back xx

Me and my gf we found this place almost accidentally after taking a speedboat from Bali and browsing the island. Right now the island is a quite little paradise and Rimba Resort is the perfect place to stay: just 2 minutes walking from the beach and the best bar and restaurants, but they also lend bikes. The resort is gorgeous and Valerio is the best. Thank you.

We came for the weekend by speed boat from Bali, boats are operating daily the island is quite and serene, is now the best time to visit it and is not crowded, and there are plenty of options for food and island actrivities. We stayed in kayu, the villa is gorgeous, beautiful gardens and comfortable extra king size beds, 2 min from the beach, couldn’t find a better place, will come back soon. We got our fav spot in gili ;)

Just came back from Gili Air and could not be happier. The lack of tourists made the experience unbelievable, like travelling in time. Facilities are great. 2 minutes from the beach. High quality accommodations and a competent staff made our stay a bliss. We will visit again. PS: on top of that, breakfast simply amazing.

Cozy hotel in the center of the island, close to the beach. There is three private villas. You can reach any location in 5-10 minutes on a bicycle, which you can find in hotel. Each villa has its own private area with a pool, a kitchen and delicious breakfasts. Very friendly Italian owner, always ready to help and advise you. Spent a wonderful three days here, definitely come back ❤️ Highly recommend this place.

We visited Gili Air for 4 nights in August 2020 and never imagined that we were in for a really pleasant surprise when we booked the three bedroom villa in Rimba Villas. The booking process has been really smooth with Valerio always very responsive to our question and accommodating on our request. He complimented our stay with the bicycles which we strongly recommend to get around in the island. Aski and the other staffs were waiting at the pier when we arrived and warmly welcomed us and helped with the luggages. Our family (inc. 2 kids at 10 and 9 y.o) enjoyed the 20 mins walk from the harbour to the villas. We really love the open ambience of the kitchen, dining, lounge, and pool area so we can watch the kids when they're swimming while doing other things. The room is comfortable with extra blanket/pillows available, two rooms have ensuite bathroom while the other is near the pool area. Breakfast is another highlight of the service with generous portion and very healthy, kids really loved it and we often have it by the pool. Really great experience and hopefully we can come back in the future!…
