Taken me awhile to write this review. We checked in expecting a no frills stay, which was as expected: basic bungalow, just a bed and mosquito net and fan. Shared bathroom. Ok facilitys. Unfortunately our bungalow was pretty dirty and dusty, needed a good wash out! A few hours after checking in my partner became very poorly. Not good for a shared bathroom experience and definitely not good for other travellers. We discussed with the staff and got an immediate, no refund, we charge you all 3 nights. Despite the risk of passing the problem to other travellers and against the policy of the website i booked through. We made the decision to book elsewhere as not fair on us or other guests. I eventually got a refund for the other 2 nights but only after extensive polite statement of the facts of the policy of the booking we had made. I never asked for a refund of the first night (despite beinf there for a total of 4 hours and leaving due to an unprecedented issue and frankly doing them and their other guests a favour) but still had to fight to make them honour their policy. Ultimately my impression of this place was they didnt care about their guests and would happily have let someone be very ill in their toilets and risk spreading infection around. 3 hours after staff had been alerted I had not see anyone go near cleaning the shared toilets... Avoid I cant place a review where i book this as the manager made me cancel my booking in order to refund me 2 nights thus why this is here. …

One of the best place where I’have been in my life. Staff friendly, bathroom basic but outside (hot water, not easy to find on the island), room clean and cozy, peacefull and the pool is just amazing. Thank tou for everything Berande, we miss you!

The hotel manage very well, staff effective and efficient yet the room is too small.. the bed provide with the musquito net.. but still local bugs and musquito can't beat with that... provide anti musquito lotion if you plan to visit.. at night fresh air that's why they don't provide AC.. but electricity shut down for many hours.. according local's it happend everyday in Gili because shortage of power supply from goverment.. Located approximately in the center of the island.. about 20 - 30 minutes walk from harbour.. but still OK..

Nice staff, everything was very clean; rooms, pool, toilets, shower. It was located middle of the island, but way to the beach was short. There was very good restaurant for breakfast just next to this hostel. WI-FI worked well.

What an awesome retreat. Great place to stay, very peaceful and calm. Great place to be when looking for a break from the other wild islands. Great breakfast included, clean rooms and washrooms. The bungalows only have beds in them and only offer a fan and no air conditioning; which is fine because it gets a little chilli at night here. We were surprised to find out the washrooms are shared but they maintain them very well and keep them clean. The pool area is a great place to hang out, meet people and take in all the peacefulness. Great price and value. Highly recommended!
