The staff is amazing, the hotel is very nice and the service is great. the ac works amazing, the rooms are comfortable and well cleaned each day. We were there for 3 weeks and we became like family. Breakfast is nice with a reasonable selection, but yogurt would have been nice. It was an added bonus the hotel had their own generator as power on the island had some interruptions, as can be expected on a small island. We noticed not all hotels did. Great stay
We’re staying in this resort at this moment and we’re getting more than we may have wished for. The apartments are very clean & bright, the food is great and the staff is very helpful, polite & correct. The resort is situated abt 100 mtrs away from the boulevard which makes it a quiet place to stay and very close to these who wants to go to the boulevard. Would definitely recommend this resort for people who are becoming happy from a clean, nice welcome place to stay Matthijs & Mariette
We recently enjoyed a relaxing stay at this friendly little resort on Gili Trawangan. Special thanks to all the lovely staff, including Yuni, Osman and Sehaman. As well as Indonesian, they speak Italian and English. There are around 8 rooms located in two double storey buildings adjacent to the pool. Bougainvillea plants with pink and orange flowers climb the blue and white buildings. The pool is a centrepiece. It is 9-10 metres long and perhaps around 4-5 metres wide. Very clean, as is the whole place. We were in an upstairs room with a balcony. The room and balcony are both spacious. Bathroom and beach towels are supplied. The rooms are airconditioned and the resort has a generator as Gili Trawangan occasionally loses electricity (twice in the week we were there). Plenty of hot water. Good daily housekeeping. The balcony contains a clothes rack for drying clothes and also two chairs and a coffee table. Breakfast is a la carte from a small menu and was included in the price we paid and so we thought it good value for money. The call to prayer from the loudspeakers attached to two nearby mosques woke us at about 5am each morning. We were woken up even with ear plugs in! The resort itself is quiet and we otherwise slept well. The resort is located on a dirt track that is easy to miss from the main beachfront road. But it is actually the main East-West thoroughfare for the island and is on Google maps. We found the track (and indeed the whole island) quite safe. We used our iPhone torches as the track is not well lit at night and we did not wish a bicycle to run into us! There are at least 3 good places to eat along the track being Tiki Grove (Mexican, fun vibe) and Chockers (airconditioned, modern) - both 5 minutes walk fromthe resort. Also, Pituq Woerung (vegan food in garden setting, a 10 minute walk). Jali Resort has great food at very reasonable prices and is about 10-15 min walk away. It is a 5 minute walk to the beach from Marygio Resort. Turtle Point is nearby (starts near Danima Resort). You can hire snorkeling gear from beach kiosks there. We paid IDR 100,000 to travel by donkey cart from Margygio Resort back to the public ticket office / boat disembarkation point. It is otherwise about a 15 minute walk. The resort can arrange bike hire if you wish. Good value for money resort, and a lovely relaxed safe vibe.…
We (husband and I) stayed here for 2 nights about a week ago and enjoyed our stay. The people were very helpful and kind especially Sahman and the location was good. We hired bikes from a lady next door to the hotel and it took roughly 5-10mins to cycle to the main road with bars/clubs/restaurants. If you want to party however I’d recommend staying closer to the main strip.
Marygio, a small, beautiful place close to everything you need. The rooms were so nice. Spacious, comfortable and clean. It had a fridge and a big balcony. The staff, Especially Sahman were very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was delicious with home made bread and fresh juice. We would recomend everybody to stay here.
definitely recommend staying at Marygio - close to the city centre, but far enough that you dont have any noise at night / first thing in the am. staff is super helpful and very nice, breakfast is also amazing! would def stay again
Stayed at the Marygio resort for 9 nights....only bad thing about it was leaving too soon....what a place....rooms were big and very clean, super clean bathrooms, never had a breakfast like this before,no buffet but cooked to order every morning served with a smile by Sahman.....cake of the day every morning too, fresh juice and fruits...... Rooms cleaned twice a day, didn't see one spider or cockroach during our stay..... You get pool towels and sarongs to use for pool and beach.....we had bicycles for free to get us around the island Whenever we came back we were met with a big smile from al the people who worked there ....thought it was sweet when they said "mum and dad " are back because they all could have been our grandkids with the difference in age ..... All the staff were always busy cleaning, working around pool and garden, great work ethic.... Location is great,5 minutes walk to the beach, just a 10 minute walk from the harbour and one street inland, close enough to everything but a peaceful place to stay.....loved the pool for evening swims ,even in the rain. Here is a big thank you to Sahman,Anan,Osman,Seri,Nur,Atik for spoiling us rotten, from cooking breakfast doing our washing, serving us with a smile, the nice chats we had....we all miss you and can't wait to come back one day.....great team of young people with their hearts in the right place, lots of love from nadine and Martin.xxx…
Had an amazing two night stay at Marygio in December 2018. Hotel was just what we needed - clean and tidy, lovely pool and close to everything on Gili T. The staff were so helpful and friendly. Thank you so much :)
We stayed here for three nights and it was great, such a lucky find! Just away from the main road, so lovely and quiet but also so close to the beach and restaurants! The staff here couldn’t be faulted, especially Sahman who was always ready to help us with anything (restaurant recommendations, the best place to find turtles etc.) with a smile on his face! The breakfast was great, and made to order so really fresh and tasty! All in all such a great stay and Gili itself is looking beautiful and recovering well, really worth a visit if you’re in Bali!
