They have the biggest store on the island atthe harbour, selling all basic stuff you need but the prices are ridiculous!!! I understand that you always pay little island extra which is totally fine by me. They show some prices but mostly no prices shown - ASK EVERY SINGLE PRICE THAT YOU DON'T SEE BEFORE PAYING!! Otherwise they will charge atleast 50% more than anywhere else. I got totally ripped off but ofcourse it is also my own fault to let it happen, was just too sleepy in the morning bying fruits to really realize how much I was paying so they totally took advantage of it. Checked the prices from other shops and these people took around 70k more money in their pocket. Karma will come sooner or later for them that's for sure. I learned my lesson, please listen my message and avoid this shop! So much cheaper everywhere else. Don't support stupid ripp off people.

2 minute walk to catch the boat which is a bonus. Beautiful white sandy beaches close by. Bungalows are a good size with a nice balcony. Outside bathroom Which was set out nice. Breakfast was very filling which also came with a nice fresh orange juice. Staff were friendly. Only downside was no swimming pool.

The room itself is beautiful. A very cabin-esque feel with an open air bathroom. (toilet covered, shower open) which turned out to be very classy. Even in the rain, it worked out well. A/c worked well. There's warm water and fresh water. The negatives; breakfast is served across the street (unlike most Bnb's where they serve you on the porch), and the breakfast is lacking. Limited options and small servings. Lastly, there is no WiFi in the rooms... You have to go across the street to the restaurant for WiFi. If you want a nice stay that offers the essentials in a nice looking package, this is your spot.

Upon our arrival at Rust Mimpi Manis Bungalows we learned that other guests from Australia were paying substantially less than what we had reserved through booking.com for same bungalows. When we came to pay for our stay before departing, the staff at Rust Mimpi Manis Bungalows were more than happy to accept the lower payment of 2,400,000 IDR for our stay of three nights for the two bungalows until a certain individual learned of our booking through booking.com for the much higher rate, and insisted that we must pay the 6,600,000 IDR as booked through booking.com When we tried to explain that had we not used booking.com we would have been able to pay 2,400,000 IDR and NOT 6,600,000 this same individual was not being reasonable and insisted that we pay the 6,600,000 as per our reservation despite the fact that his staff were happy to accept our lower and reasonable fee for our stay. We did not want to make a scene and we wanted to get off this island safely so we simply paid and agreed to dispute it afterwards when we returned home to Canada. Booking.com advertises a "Best Price Guarantee" which we tried to take up with them but their "fine print" is that this is only valid prior to check-in and we were denied. The thing is, they (booking.com) obviously does not realize what part of the world we were checking into? A remote Island in Indonesia with intermittent internet and no phones. How exactly did they expect us to notify them upon checking in and discovering this price discrepancy???? We had just travelled a very long distance from Ubud Bali, in extreme heat, taken a fast boat from Bali to Gili T which was hot and cramped, disembarked at Gili T and had a crazy frustrating time negotiating another boat ride to our final destination at Gili Meno. By the time we arrived we were very tired, hot, and then cranky/frustrated by this huge price discrepancy. My wife and I, and our two adult daughters. Chatting with other guests we then discovered the price discrepancy but at this time all we wanted was a shower and to relax. Suffice to say we will not be using booking.com again and very much disliked the poor customer service and treatment we received when it came to paying for our stay upon departure. Despite this despicable treatment of being forced into paying an exorbitantly higher fee at Rust Mimpi Bungalows, we enjoyed the Island of Meno and the beaches and snorkeling.

My Food had a hair in it. Need I say more. Small and black and I have long blonde hair so it definitely was not mine. Food apart from that was not great (my husbands). He had spaghetti carbonara. Instead of creamy it tasted oily and bland. I had to leave mine after finding the hair so couldn't tell you if mine would have tasted good too.

If you are a princess like my wife and need to have Wi-Fi, full on amenities, full service restaurants, AC, hot water, etc… then you definitely don’t want to come to Rust Mimpi Manis Bungalows. If you want to rough it out a bit and be rewarded with super clean beaches a stone throw’s away and eat breakfast in your pajamas and want to lounge all day in a specular and scenic spot, the you will love it here. I wasn’t a fan of not having AC but they have large fans,(the fan actually keeps the mosquitoes away from you too) just wear minimal if any clothes and you will sleep very comfortably. The Bungalows aren’t luxurious but they sure look beautiful and so serene. You actually take a shower outside in back of the bungalow but it is walled off pretty well and there are relatively so few people that nobody will bother you. It is definitely a place to feel at one with nature and even my princess wife loved it.

We got to Gili meno in the late afternoon, beautiful beaches, but not a beautiful place to stay. We pre booked and ended up staying 1 out of the 3 nights.we by no means travelled in luxury on our trip the Mimpi was awful, the photos online make it out to be cute little bungalows but they are disgusting. We ended up with a family villa with lime green walls and what looked like a security camera in the corner... Bathroom was digesting, the toilet seat feel off right away and to wash your hands you have a sink and bucket. Staff unfriendly and not willing to help out at all. We ended up sleeping with the lights on to warn off cock roaches. For the price we paid, it's a rip off. Stay on Gili A or T and take a day trip.

The bungalows had all the basics. Keep in mind that you will need your own soap, shampoo etc. The people who worked there were all very friendly and willing to help although sometimes it was a little hard to figure out so was actually working there. There was no room service/cleaning which was expected. Snorkelling gear were available for hire very close by for about 40,000IDR a day and bikes (over priced and hard to ride on the sand, for about 100,000IDR ). The breakfast is extremely basic, choice of OJ, coffee or tea and toasted sandwich with tomato onion cheese or omelet with tomato onion cheese. Very close to the ferry which was fantastic for day trips to the other islands. Lots of nice restaurants nearby. Recommended to pre book. Wifi very slow in comparison to other places on the island.

I was recommended these bungalows by a friend who spend a few nights here last year with his partner. The rooms themselves are quite basic, but you do at least have aircon and access to a hot shower, which is surprisingly welcome after a sunrise jog around the small island. As other people have mentioned, the beds weren't made during our stay, but it wasn't a cause for concern for us - they kept the gardens tidy, the staff were always incredibly friendly and helpful and overall we had a very pleasant stay. Breakfast was small but adequate for a lazy day snorkelling. It's a really convenient spot, right near the harbour and the main strip (as simple as this is on Gili Meno). I'm sure there are swankier places to stay, but if you want a simple island experience this is perfect. We came here for my sister's 21st and she had a wonderful time - which was the main concern for me! The only thing I would perhaps forewarn people of is that these traditional bungalows are near one of the mosques which means if you're a light sleeper you could be roused by morning prayers. We weren't bothered though - it meant we never missed one of the beautiful sunrises on Gili Meno!

This place is located right next to the jetty if you take the commercial boat from Gili T to Gili Meno, so it's easy to just walk instead of having to fork out for a horse cart. Checking in is simple and rather informal, but really, this is still part of the authentic island life and I really appreciated it. Their restaurant has a breathtaking view, and they make the best fresh juices! It's also super close to the convenience store, the dive center, the tourist booking center, etc. You wouldn't have to go far to get something. Restaurants line the area, and they all make great food. The room is clean, with bare furnishings and a single queen sized bed, with an outdoor bathroom. The bathroom is adorable, but beware of the mozzies and roachies at night! Bring or buy mosquito coils. You will want them for the night to keep the bugs away, or you'll end up facing four huge cockroaches crawling about the sink while you use the bathroom... like I did. Some small bugs will get into the room somehow, but there's mosquito netting over the bed, and there is a fan AND A/C, so it keeps you cool. There isn't any tables or chairs, just one small wardrobe with a built in safe and a few hangers. There's not much room to move around, but it is enough. Lastly, the one negative thing I didn't like was the fact that people are constantly walking past our room, and if we forget to draw the curtains, everyone could see what we were doing through the huge glass panels of the doors. There wasn't too many people, but there was some traffic, mostly people living in other chalets around us, and you just have to be careful. Otherwise, the place is worth the price we paid. I love Gili Meno, and I would come back anytime, anyday. There are many snorkelling and diving bookings available, and at good prices too. The water is crystal clear, and the marine life is rich. Worth every bit of it.
