This hotel is a getaway place where you truly forget about outside world.
Excellent service from the check-in to the departure.
Large summer terrace to enjoy your lunch, dinner or cocktails. Beautiful and tasteful food, many local products used in the menu - we really enjoyed it.
Our room was spotless, we admired the bed linen quality and how this hotel really thinks about the comfort of the guests (we had room with a terrace, there were plaids in the room for the chiller days).
Deluxe rooms (all on 3rd floor) have A/C, tea/coffee amenities, quality bathrobes, slippers etc. Beautiful view to the church next to the hotel (no bells during our 2 nights stay) and terrace down the courtyard.
Spa treatment (Bali treatment) was a such a surprise, not for a content (scrubbing and massage) but for the spa therapist Kati who made it for the most enjoyable treatment I ever had (and I have had many) with her golden hands and professionality.
Breakfast was tasteful and with wide variety of cold and hot dishes, my special wow's goes to handmade muesli - it tasted like a heaven, full on roasted nuts.
If you are tired of modern plain hotel rooms, try this hotel and you will probably feel warmth and love due the many special details.

Grand Rose SPA rooms were cosy and reasonably roomy, clean and equipped with mini fridge, tv with netflix, bathroom, towels and bathrobes. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffee had wide selection of different items to choose from and even a variety of plant based milks for vegans or lactose intolerants. I really loved the SPA part. It was small yet had everything you need to relax like different saunas and a pool surrounded with hot tubs with different temperatures. I didn't order any extra massage or treatment sessions because the SPA was already enough plus we got a complementary salt chamber session. Oh, and there were swimming rings and other stuff for the kids to use to be able to have more fun. Would definitely recommend.

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
The location is perfect, service is very good but the rooms would need a little update. The SPA section is very nice and cozy and surprisingly with so many different saunas. The bar in the SPA offers tasty handcraft beer and cold shakes and a variety of selection of food. The breakfast is perfect only missing fried egg (but they had smashed egg porridge). The only thing what I did not like was the small animal policy. The room next door had a small dog who started to bark for and hour and woke up our sleeping baby.

When arriving to the hotel I was denied to use my gift card, because to use it I should have made my reservation by the phone not on the internet. When we explained that we called them before making the reservation and asked specifically about using the gift card and got no such instructions, the lady at the reception basically said she didn´t believe us. If I then asked whether it was possible to cancel the registration, we were explained that we can only do that if we paid a fine.
The room was on the ground floor just next to the sauna and some beach chairs so we had some people staring inside the room and also smoking just in front of the window. They didn´t mind at all that there was a sign which prohibited smoking. No chance of changing the room either, since according to the receptionist they only had single-rooms, rooms without air-conditioning (stayed there in the middle of Summer!) or a room with a window facing apartment building which she didn´t recommend.
The bathroom floor was ice cold and when showering the whole room would be flooded by water. There were just a few hangers in the bathroom which made drying our towels, swimwear and bathrobes after using the spa nearly impossible. The room itself smelled weird and it seemed like someone had smoked there before. The breakfast was ok, but would expect more from a 4 star hotel.
Not to mention that they instruct you to park on a public parking lot opened to everyone. That means there is noone making sure your car is safe. Also, you have to drag all your belongings from there to the hotel.
We had wated for a long time to our vacation in Saaremaa and the hotel was not what we hoped it would be. Nevertheless, Saaremaa welcomed us very well and we plan to return next summer. Although, this time we are choosing a better hotel and spa.

I stayed with the family in room 209, which is in the end of the corridoor. It was quiet, clean and had enough space to move around even with an extra bed. Water coming from the shower was however extremely hot. The receptionist told us that there was some knob missing and instructed us how to use it without getting our skins completely burned. Still, the water was too hot. How about getting it fixed? In general the service level was somewhat ignorant and not what one expects in a 4 star hotel.
The spa area was the high light of our stay. It is really clean and nicely decorated. As most of the guests use the spa facilities it would be nice to have space to dry swimsuits, towels an bathrobes in the bathroom. We placed our wet towels on the floor and "please clean the room" sign hanging at the door for many hours on the last day of our visit. The cleaners never arrived.
The buffet breakfast was served in the basement where the ambience was nice. Good variety of options available.
Food and service in the summer terrace was good. All in all, a pleasant stay. However, only 3 roses due to the setbacks I mentioned.

The only good thing about the stay in the hotel was dinner in the hotel restoran. The food was really good and delicious. The dessert surprise by the waiter was like a cherry on the cake.
Unfortunately the rooms weren't so good. The customer service was not good, it made us feel like we were unwanted. The check in was at 16:00, we arrived a bit later, on the reception there was queue and when we got our room key and got to the room, it came out that the room was not tidy yet, so we needed to wait when it was finished. The shower head was rusted and the water poured everywhere else, but not as it should have. Water didn't go down from the sink.

The best thing is the website and its pictures.
Definitely Overpriced.
Excellent location downtown this lovely town.
Very small Parking, for sure able to fit not more than 30 % of the guest's cars.Others have to manage somehow in the neighbourhood.
The service level is low. No smiles to anybody. No positive feelings.
Pretty sad for a kind of place that should give 'good mood' to the visitors!
This building technically would not be a hotel. It has been adapted to do so...this means Too many rooms - too many people and lots of greediness as a consequence!
Rooms are small and old, furnitures are old, mattresses should be changed. Floor heating in toilets is randomly working. Bathroom accessories are old or even broken (toilet seat, for instance...). Shower water is usually flooding around.
If you are so lucky to get a room in the first floor you do not even need to go downstairs to the SPA! the risk of really boiling yourself in the evening is pretty common, like in a sauna! Basically it is like your room is your own sauna! Cool, isn'it it ?
No air circulation at all. Indeed Not really an healthy environment. I guess in summer you can boil as well as far as I have not noticed any air conditioning.
The room service works when they like to make it working and probably depending on the mood of who is answering the phone. Pretty expensive service though!
The SPA premises are OK, although need a full refreshment as well. It is very risky to walk by due to the constant slippery floors. You need to be very careful in order to avoid any serious problems.
The restaurant is OK. Breakfast is OK and in general the menu' quality and the service level are pretty OK for this town.
SUMMARIZING:
I suggest the management to refresh this place As soon as possible. It needs a full renovation.
At the moment the ratio price - quality is very very far from being a match.
I will not be back.

The room was without ventilation. It smelled like wet dog. As it was street level room, it would be unsafe to keep the windows open as anyone could jump in effortlessly. Add to that the noise from people, cars and thousands angry screeching crows infesting the area. The bed was incredibly uncomfortable. Basic amenities or per usual complimentaries of a 4* hotel missing, even a bottle of drinking water. Booked for 2 nights but left in the middle of the first one, we left at 5 a.m. as we couldn't take it anymore. Almost 150 eur/night is a total rip-off, equates to thievery. The 2 nights were paid in full and refund for unused night was out of question. I am a world traveler, lost count of cities visited worldwide, never gave such a negative review pretty much to anything, but this experience was horrible. Avoid at all cost.
